  1. Thanks for the tip! I checked the event viewer and noticed this error message repeating every time a system shut-down happened: "The previous system shutdown at 9:45:35 PM on ‎12/‎21/‎2014 was unexpected.". I think this pretty much rules out any intentional shutting down on windows' part.
  2. Ok yeah, I just left to get something to eat, and when I walked back into my room (not more that 5 minutes from when I left) It had shut off again. I made sure to change and double check all of those settings but it still shut off. I don't even know if it had time to go idle
  3. Ok thanks!, I will give it a shot and see how it goes, crossing my fingers
  4. Is it a bug? because I have already made sure to disable any sleep functions that windows might have.
  5. Hello, So I have recently run into a new issue which I have never encountered before and was wondering if anyone has had any previous experience with this issue. So what happens is I will be using my computer, and if I leave it alone for some time, lets say 30 minutes or more (although sometimes its been up to 8 hours of idle time) my computer will randomly shut off and sometimes I wont be able to get it turned on for a good 15-20 minutes. Here are a list of things I have tried troubleshooting: -I have reverted the overclock on my i7-3820 back to its stock 3.6Ghz -Wondering if inadequate CPU cooling was causing the issue, I began to log my temps which revealed that they were all running within the norms right before the computer shut down -I have double checked all of my windows power settings to make sure that there is no setting which turns off the computer after a certain time period. The weirdest thing is that the computer only shuts off when it is idle. It has never stopped working when I have been actively using it. Even when I was trying a stress test, or playing a demanding game like titanfall the computer did not shut off. I was wondering if I have overlooked anything to troubleshoot or if anyone else has run into this issue. I will list my specs below: -Windows 7 -Intel i7-3820 -Corsair H100i Cooler -GTX 680 -Corsair CX750M power supply -Samsung 840 EVO SSD (boot drive) -WD Blue 1TB hard drive (mass storage) Thanks!
  6. Another option would be to just buy a good DAC, or DAC and Amp combo thing. does the same thing, except you can take it anywhere with you, your not limited to being able to use it in one machine.
  7. Aside from putting it on the floor, putting it in a corner of your room if you can would also be ideal. You get the best results when you can place your sub against a wall or in the corner of the room.
  8. Why can my cable management never be that neat
  9. Can I take back my previous statement lol . I would break out my SNES from the dark depths of my basement.
  10. Thanks everyone for the responses! Didn't think so many people would respond so soon
