Hey guys I have just installed my new gtx 1080 ftw but I am already having problems while gaming. For example yesterday I was playing the witcher 3 and after 2-3 hours of gaming my screen went black and I heard the fans spinning to max rpm. The temperature while gaming at 1440p ultra settings are around 80° which I think it's a bit higher then normal. Instead while not gaming the temp is around 55-59 which is absurdely high (I am even with the case open atm). Should I RMA it? Should I try a different brand? Because in case I will ask for a refund!

BF Hardline now it's almost playable..35 fps after some minutes starting from 75-90 fps. But still I can't figure things out

I've uninstalled from the devices manager the gtx 750ti which was before the upgrade. Still nothing fixed UPDATE: uninstalled and reinstalled the gtx 970 as well got a little fps more but nothing really changed http://imgur.com/gy2nbTx

Thank you for answering! I tried to set up the Nvidia control panel for BF HL and it gave it 10 fps more. Still anyway really low and laggy. Could be the driver from previous card, gtx 750, overlapping with 970 ones? Can someone confirm it? EDIT: Now the cpu is back on 50% on all cores while playing bf. GPU core now are 99% while playing with 200-500mhz usage. Is it good or bad?

I was in the task manager and I saw that the XBOX controller was suckin all 4 cores..in the processes was CPU 25 and everything was set to 0. Now that I ended the process everything is running on the cpu cores. I think that was the problem

is there anything I could do to check what's suckin my cpu?

i don't really know actually. I usually just have opened steam, skype, chrome, spotify...

isn't fine with that temperatures?

Hello guys! From 1 month or so I bought my GTX 970 despite the 3.5vram. I play, well I wish to, mainly 1080p. I had codadw and now bought Battlefield hardline. Sad thing is I can't run BF and CODAW on ultra. I know COD is bad optimized so I don't care, but what about bf? Strangest thing is I can't even play fluently on the lowest settings possible! I tried everything, no AA, 2xmsaa, no mfaa, no geforce experience, lowest settings possible EVERYTHING. These are the stats when I setted bf on ULTRA. http://imgur.com/GBtMKoc I was in the option menu so I don't know if it's okay. Still someone told me the clocks on the gpu are low for being ultra. I run it with an I5 4460, 8GB RAM, Z97K, VP PRO 700W and the monitor is a S22D300. Can someone please help me out? :\ EDIT: i forgot to say: 1) I didn't format the PC after installed the hardware 2) using win7 3) installed the first drivers manually from nvidia website
