CarsonAurum got a reaction from Wix in GTX 1070 on a 450w PSU
You may want to bump up to a 500w just to be safe, or really pay attention to how much of an overclock you apply.

You could start by posting a picture of your task manager and a little more detail on what's being run on your computer.

You have to wait for a staff member to merge them or delete one I think.

CarsonAurum got a reaction from fiberzs is dad in Backup Drive
From experience, I'd recommend a backup at around 2 or 3 AM and I believe there's a setting that specifies what to do when the drive fills up (I picked write over the oldest save).

If you're windows, in settings, there is an option for backups as well as configuring how/when/what they backup. On mac, there's timemachine that manages most things for you.

CarsonAurum got a reaction from stconquest in Build Suggestions
Yeah I got a micro center near me...
I actually like this quite a bit, but if I'm not mistaken, I can get that cpu at micro center with in-store pickup for $299

$150 over-budget. I can cut it down a bit, but not much.

CarsonAurum reacted to LinusTech in Ultimate Hackintosh Workstation Build Guide
For years folks have been asking me to do a Hackintosh build guide. I've always put it off because 1) It's a lot of work and 2) I never cared to own a machine that runs OSX.
Well I solved problem number 1 by having @Slick do it, and I soved problem number 2 by.... Okay I didn't solve that, but whatever we built one
I'm going to list out the components as well as provide a source or two for where you can get them
I can't tell you where to buy this stuff, but I do lean towards NCIX for the Canadians (and International viewers if their pricing and shipping costs work out for you) because they're my bros, and for Americans, Brits, and a couple other regions, the Amazon links below are affiliate links, so of course every little bit helps
