I think I will listen and play some actual games on both, and see how i feel. Basicly more memory + 3770k which I cant overclock vs less memory at a higher clock + 4771 which i cant overclock...

Well, i tried oveclocking them to see where I could hae them. those results were stable under load. i know it depends on what specific tests you use, but it’s just for reference

Ok, so I did some testing option 1: 3770k at 3.9ghz 24 gb ram at 1330 option 2 4771 at 3.7 (see pic: i have 3.9 selected but motherboard only shows 37 on the left side) 16 gb ram at 1600

Thanks for all the intputs I will try and tun some benchmarks myself. I forgot to mention that I am running a phanteks cpu air cooler and a gtx 1060 3gb I would like to try the 4771 but I am not sure if it’s worth losing the 8gb ram i currently have the 2x 4gb sticks in lane 2 and the 2x 8gb sticks in lane 1, but I don’t know if the motherboard really likes that... buying a new motherboard for the 3770k might be an option I just want to be sure that it’s the motherboard limiting the oc potential?

Hi all I recently received two pc's for free with these specs 1: MSI h77ma-g43 motherboard Intel i7 3770K (can only go to 3.9Ghz on this motherboard) 16 Gb ddr3 memory, 4 sticks (i could get a 1400 overclock) 2: Gigabyte GA-H81M-S2PH motherboard Intel i7 4771 (can turbo to 3.9Ghz) 16 GB HyperX Fury ddr3 memory 2 sticks (not sure of the overclock) I would like the 4771 with the msi, but the socket is obviously different My options are basicly: 1: MSi board 3770K 24 GB memory 2x hyperx + 2x 4 gb sticks at 1400 2: Gigabyte board 4771 16 Gb hyperx (only two dim slots) (might get a higher overclock) Any opinions? On and yeah, I know it's old stuff, but it's what i've got XD

. Is this a decent enough graphics card and if u would be so kind. Would u please please please compare it to the nvidia gtx 780. Or any other graphics card. Please please. The leadtech gtx 275
