  1. wait he never showed the rest of the conversation at all, where he said that he worked 100% fine, very well done.
  2. Desk is back from the powder coaters and I love the blue, I now have to start fitting it out. I got the copper tube today that I will be using, which I plan on getting gold plated but that is not set in stone at the moment, I am also selected the fans and they will be on there way on tuesday, I am be using the Thermaltake RGB Riing 14s.
  3. Had a mate come down and help me get my desk 100% ready for powder coating and I had a great idea, I really love lego, so..... I am going to do the whole floor of the desk in lego base plates then I can put all my lego mini figs in there. I have also just about finished my other build I can focus on this a lot more, here is a couple of pictures.
  4. So my motherboard showed up today and that motivated me to do some work on the build, so the false floors are in and I am fittings the motherboard tray. I have choice the powder coat I am going to be using I want to use nickle played copper tubing so will see how that goes, does anyone know how much nickle playing costs. Space Blue is the color I will be going with. Here is something else done in the same blue.
  5. Spent the day cleaning and priming the case, using filler primer for any little marks and spray putty for anything deeper, then I will be vinyl wrapping over it.
  6. So small update the harddrivers for the desk build have shown up. 24tb of storage and 2tb of hybird for the main system. I am going to be wrapping the outside of the desk in blue, not sure on the inside I am think black or silver but will see. Here are some photos of the Titan Xs and the 5960X I will be using in the build, I am having trouble picking a motherboard but I am thinking of getting the Gigabyte X99 SOC Champion.
  7. Got sick of sitting my desk on a desk so I made some legs for it, went to bunnings and got some 100 by 75 pine and cut it into 600mm lenghts and then the mrs wanted to help so I let her stain them, come up good for temporary legs
  8. Small update which didnt feel small while I was doing it haha Two of the four 560 radiator mount have been cut in, I plan to fit it out over xmas so I am tring to get all this done so I can get it poweder coat before hand.
  9. Took some photos of my desk build I am working on, I am really happy with the finished main section. Now to start cutting it up to mount everything and I am still working on the legs I want something difference to all the other desks, if you got any ideas let me know.
  10. Alpha-Cool sent over some serious watercooling gear for my desk build. Copper, Copper, Copper is all I got to say, this is going to be one hell of a cooling system in the desk. Now we just need 32 140mm fans. I think this many rads and 4 D5 pumps should do the trick. What fans you think we should use.
  11. Thought I would move my build over here as I have a new sponser onboard and this build is going to have crazy amounts of watercooling in it. So I am back again and this time not just going to be modding a case, for the first time I will be building my own case and not just any case, I will be doing a full desk with an X99 system on one side and I am thinking of Wii U or PS4 on the other side. I have no list of gear yet but as this will be the last big build before my baby girl is born I will be going all out. Here is a 3D render on how I plan on building it, I am not 100% sure on the legs, I was thinking of making the desk height adjustable using electronic actuator. As you see I plan to have four 480mm Radiators( two in the sides and Two in the back) they will be sponsored by Alphacool so I will be using Monsta's, I will be using Four of Primochills CTR res with four D5 pumps. I am not sure if I should go for a theme or if I shoudl just go a nice color. I have the start of the desk I just need to get the welder out or even learn to use one haha anyone on the gold coast that can weld PM me please. PS, yes that is a TJ11 I use to hold my tarp down.
  12. Well my Pretty in Pink Build is finished, first lets start with the spec's. MSI X99S Gaming 9 AC Motherboard MSI 980TI Reference 3 way SLI Corsair Dominator Platinum 32GB 2666mhz Corsair AX1200i Power Supply Intel 750 Series 400GB PCIE SSD Intel 5960X CPU Corsair SP120 Fans Corsair AF140 Fans Primochill Custom Pink and Black sleeved cables. Caselabs SMA8 case Watercooling EK EVO Nickel plexi CPU block EK Nickel Plexi Titan X GPU blocks EK X-res D5 Pump/Res Combo EK CoolStream RAD XT (480) EK 3 way SLI Bridge Primochill Black Dual Tone fittings Coolgate CG560 RAD This was a really fun build and the color oh the color the pink looks amazing and I have even changed the color scheme of my desk build to pink and black. The motherboard was really easy to install and to paint pink, great stability and the bios was really easy to use and navigate, it has every feature you could ask for and more. The 980TIs in 3 way SLI are as you would imagine, crazy fast and look great with the EK blocks and back plates on them. Corsair sent over the Dominator Platinum's, AX1200i and Fans for this build, the Dominator Platinum's are the best looking ram I have every seen and performance is great. The EK water cooling is top notch as expected, very easy to install and looks amazing, they really think of all the little things, for everyone worried about water cooling look straight to EK, there instructions are very easy to follow and they include spares in everything so no need to worry about missing one little screw. Primochill Fittings and cables look amazing and there PETG tubing is very easy to use. The Intel 750 SSD is crazy fast and the CPU well its a 5960X doesn't that say it all. Again big thanks to the sponsors of this build and I am looking forward to working with them again in the future. https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xtp1/t31.0-8/s960x960/12191236_1063053283712400_7786548465795376511_o.jpg[/img
  13. Took a quick photo for everyone, just filled it up in the middle of a storm so the video might take while but it is coming, in the coming weeks will be setting up a spare room and really focusing on YouTube, which should be awesome fun. Anyone have any tips just let me know. Also let me know what you think, I really love the different pinks and this Primochill pink is amazing, may we should do the desk pink and black and add some UV into it. Thanks everyone for making this build so much fun, I got a couple of things to finish off and then I will make a video and take some final photos. It will also be displayed on the MSI booth at pax.
  14. you send emails to companys and they work out if they will get ROI or not and go from there.
  15. Big thanks to EK waterblocks for sending us the watercooling gear for the MSI caselabs build. There is going to be some serious gear in this system and it needs the best watercooling to go with it. So thanks again for supporting us and I look forward to working with EK waterblocks in the future. I got to replace a couple of tubes but I am very happy with how it has come out and can not wait to fill it.
