  1. cheers for getting back to me. as I am a student at a design based school, I have access to many materials, including offcuts of other peoples projects (seriously.. they use loads of materials and recycle everything they can), I hope to use their CNC (with lots of help) during a few design lessons I have in the week. just didn't know if it had been done or if it is possible? cheers though! 2. So, back again. I've had my set of ATH M50X's for a while now and I love them, but with one main issue- they are plastic! I've researched and trawled through forums and teardowns to see if they've remade the construction of metal. is there anyone who has attempted this? I really want to do this, but OBVIOUSLY I want to keep my m50x's in working order? cheers, Best DuckaSocks
  3. Okay I see the thing now, now I feel stupid
  4. So, interesting topic here, with little results here or anywhere regarding this, so here goes: I bought my 970 g1 a while ago (about august 2015) and haven't noticed the VRAM issue that everyone complains about. While doing some school work I thought to myself, if DRAM can be taken out and upgraded, why can't VRAM? I hunted and found little, no results on replacing VRAM on the 970 to get rid of the 3.5 buffer.. I want to replace the nerfed chip on the 970 with a chip that isn't nerfed, but still makes the card 4GB? I don't mind the warranty but I don't want to bork the card? ? So I ask you, reader, is it possible to replace the shoddy VRAM?
  5. damn! so disappointing as the ATX model and the ITX model both have front USB and power.. WHY PHANTEKS WHY??
  6. would the only way to do so is to dremmel it? (I really don't want to!) best DuckaSocks
  7. Hey, I am considering buying the Enthoo Evolv, and really cannot stand the power/reset/USB panel on the right. Is there any way that I can move it to maybe the other side, as I am hoping to mount the case to the top of my bed, with the windows faced down! any help is appreciated! Best DuckaSocks
  8. which is why you use a fridge, not a freezer. fridge will keep it above freezing unless you put the knob below freezing, surely?
  9. I've got 2x2tb reds in my nas and in the two years of having them I haven't seen any degradation or signs of RMA, I looked but was put off seagate when my paps pc died dramatically (his hdd was a year old. It span up and made techno noises then died) Up to you really, I pushed and I haven't had issues.
  10. I'd suggest something a little cheaper, technet do large batteries (15,000) for about £25 ish!
  11. Why not stick it into a normal fridge? You save yourself £300 then!
  12. I shall do a build log! cheers for the heads up about QDC s Ghost, and when I meant radiators, I meant using house radiators! I'm looking at doing this because I feel the need to get the air out of my case, and warm the room, rather than using an AIO in my system, or a smaller custom loop! thankyou for the advice too!
