  1. Was never opened, bought new. I have a PTM7950 kit, just really don't want to open a $1k GPU. Never opened one. Definitely worried about the mounting pressure I'd leave myself. Do you know of any good instructional videos?
  2. So in this picture my delta is only 23* then? And in that case I should just watch it the entire time during a stress test to see if it gets higher? Seems crazy to have to do that but if that is the proper way ok. I've read many places that delta for GPU temps = Hotspot temp - GPU temp
  3. TL;DR when looking at your GPU temp delta do you check current temps or max? I can't seem to get a straightforward answer anywhere I've asked and wanted to try here. I know what the term delta means. I'm just trying to figure out if mine is 35* or not. In HWMONITOR there are the Max temps this card has reached, 54* gpu and 89* hot spot which = 35* delta. But I'm not sure if I should be looking at max temps or current temps? That is my question. Whenever people say their gpu has a delta of xyz and for this card xyz is bad/dangerous I don't know if it's current temps or max they're looking at. I'm assuming it's max temps because how else can you just stare at your fluctuating current temps while gaming? But I want to know for sure because 35* delta seems very high. This is a 7900xtx tachi so idk. Seems like everyone gets high temps with these cards and while I do have to max out the fans to keep the hot spot under 90, this card has never came close to 110. I feel fairly confident that my card is ok but if the delta is an issue I will consider repasting as an absolute last resort. I just don't want to open my expensive GPU Unless there's a big issue.
  4. Are these scores any good? I really have no idea what I'm doing. Just building a new PC and wanted to test.
  5. Yeah I got the PTM7950 kit but really don't want to open up my GPU. My case is missing the bottom intake fans as they're out of stock so I will wait until those come in to see if those make any difference.
  6. I see stuff online that is all over the place so it is hard to say who is right. With my fans 100% max I am getting a max hot spot of 93c and max global 60c. 3106MHZ max clock and 2487 max memory Just wanting to see if these numbers are safe for my new GPU
  7. Well I got over my OLED burn in fear. Cancelled the order and ordered the AW2725DF which is that 360hz 1440p oled 27". I just wanted to post the update and thank you guys for the information. I was really looking at 4K because I think my computer can run it however I just could not find anything that looked perfect for me. I am very interested in that dual hz LG 4k/1080p but that's not coming out until October and I want something now. I play mostly shooter games so I figured that would be the perfect solution but this AW oled seems awesome and I'm coming from 1080p so im sure I'll be happy
  8. Yeah im pretty out of the loop and tbh after all this new info I may just wait until I can afford a 4k 240hz Oled lol
  9. Well damn, that is $110 cheaper and also 240hz. The only thing that is keeping me from considering canceling my order and getting that MSI is im using AMD. Not that I'd use Freesync often anyhow.
  10. Yeah I opted for 1440p. I'm not sold on OLED (can't afford 4k OLED anyway). I was definitely considering a 4k monitor but for my needs idk, couldn't really find anything that spoke to me within my budget. I've always been on a 24" 1080p TN monitor at 144hz. This one is a 27" 1440p IPS I believe at 240Hz (280 overclocked)
  11. If so how is it? Was getting overwhelmed with research and reviews so I just went ahead and pulled the trigger. The high refresh rate is what sold me I think. Found a "like new" Amazon warehouse for $460. They're $600 new today just starting to get buyers remorse wondering if I should have done more research and im Hoping it's a great monitor. Never gone higher than 1080p before.
  12. I would wait if you can. I saw some basic reviews but in my opinion maybe I am wrong here but until the cars are actually released I don't think we can get any proper performance reviews. I was in the same exact boat as you, I ended up buying the XTX just yesterday because there was only one left in stock and I did not want to miss out. Plus I have a 30-day return window if for some reason the supers just blow me away but for the games I play and for what I do I think I made the right choice either way.
  13. I have a GTX 970 that I originally bought with my 4790k. At the time it was a great setup. Im sure you can probably find one on eBay or locally pretty cheap but I would also consider selling mine if that's something you're interested in and if you can't find one.
  14. Nothing positive to add here unfortunately but you know, after my last "good" monitor being asus and having issues after a short period of time plus those articles from Nexus and Jay2centa about Asus mobos overvolting CPUs/Asus ignoring it and not making it right, I will never buy Asus again. I just dropped $3,500 on a build yesterday and I REALLY wanted an asus motherboard for the aesthetics and the options being better than most others available in white.....but I just couldn't do it. Opted to buy a mobo less compatible that I will actually have to flash before using which I'm not looking forward to instead lol. This thread helps confirm I made the right choice. I'm also in the market for a new monitor and Asus won't even be considered.
  15. Not at all it is purely for Aesthetics. I've never used a water cooler before and I want this to be my first one, I just like the way they look
  16. I should have mentioned this, my apologies this was actually one of the only 7900 XT that I could find in white and unfortunately I cannot find one in stock anywhere near me or online but I will check out your link as I am using talk to text right now and thank you for the reply
  17. Budget (including currency): 2,500 usd Country: usa Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Pubg/warzone Other details Purely for gaming at 1080p, maybe will upgrade to 1440p one day. I have the major components narrowed down but need help with some others. I'm looking to build a white on black color scheme. Lian Li 011 Vision black case MSI MPG B650 Edge mobo 7800X3D cpu 7900XTX Gpu either asrock Taichi or hellhound So I want the black case with white components. My first issue was I can't find a 7900xt in white so I'll have to get the xtx but my biggest pain now are the fans/aoi and rgb. I don't think there's an all in one stop to control all of this and I don't really want 4 different programs to set up the RGB. I'm guessing that I should go with all lian li fans and aio? Assuming they will all run off the same software. My other thing is I've never used an AIO before and it's always been air cooling for me so I have no idea what to get but I do want one with an LCD screen. I checked out the Galahad Aio and it seems like it would be great looking but not sure if they're any good. TLDR I have no idea what fans and what Aio to get to compliment my build and to control the rgb with ease.
  18. Yeah, it was on Facebook. At least 3 people asked without a reply while every other comment got a reply. It's super top secret CIA stuff and I do not have the clearance.
  19. I saw an inspiring build with one of these and I want to build a PC with one. Purely for looks although it would be nice to monitor Temps here vs on screen. My problem is idk what to look for and where to begin. How do I even mount one of these? See attached screenshot, it looks perfect sitting up there at the top. What brands are good? How to set up? How to make it show an icon like in the screenshot or temps? I'm basically clueless with these and not sure where to look for information.
  20. I feel you guys but my thought process is that the super cards will be sold out and triple priced within a day so id buy on launch day if I decided to go that route. Not sure if there will be many performance reviews before then? So far all I can find is that Gamers Nexus claims the 4070TI S will sit between the 4070ti and 4080.
  21. Not a complete noob, I've built a few PCs but im not advanced. I'm in the market to upgrade with a new build and it's been a long time. All this talk of frame gen, DLSS, DLAA idk much more than the basics. Bottom line is I play Pub G and whatever I get will be complete overkill. I do wanna check out Warzone 2 as well as some other games here and there so it's hard to decide. Pub G likes Nvidia, WZ loves AMD, DLSS is the best, fake frames seem weird to me and it's a toss up. I'm debating between the 7900XT and the 4070ti Super.
  22. Looking for a bang for buck kind of thing. Ill spend a few $ maybe up to $500 but not looking for top of the line. Some type of monitor to watch movies on my projector. Using studio monitors now and they're just really bass heavy for movies.
  23. Does this exist? I have the 502 hero SE and it is garbage. Feels incredible, very smooth, very light, fits 90% perfectly in my hand. Looking for those qualities in another mouse. I don't care what the price is but what I dont want are buttons that fail within months, horrible software like ghub and really poor customer service. These are dealbreakers for me and why I am trying to move past using this g502. Any suggestions?
  24. Agreed on all fronts. Really did not want to include a mobo into this because that is just a can of worms and costs another $100 to save $20, etc. Plus my local place only has two B450's in stock etc. Anyway just wanted to share the deal. It was $20 less for me and I have been looking online for like 3 weeks consistently and not everyone has a Microcenter. Updated OP with YMMV
