  1. This is not a crack. It is a bypass. Calling it a crack implies Denuvo has been broken, which it hasn't. The bypass tricks Denuvo into giving you a verification key to launch the game by sending it a request for a key using the free demo version. Denuvo is still uncracked and as soon as they patch the verification system, the same DRM that has always been there will continue to be unbreakable. Crack = breaking Denuvo Bypass = getting around Denuvo Don't confuse the two and spread misinformation regarding them. That's false.
  2. In that case, I would rather they take a tax on charging I guess. The availability and appeal of electric cars should be promoted and encouraged as much as possible in order to entice as many people as we can to bite the bullet for more eco friendly vehicles with sustainable energy sources. I think people would be more willing to pay an extra 7% or something on electricity used to power their car rather than adding $5-10k to the purchase price of an electric vehicle making the bill even more painful to get down.
  3. Oh man.. If the government starts taxing solar production, that would be as crappy as it gets. That's basically taxing you for the use of the sun.
  4. I'm hoping they go big into battery innovation so somehow we can end up with batteries that hold more capacity in smaller form factors lol
  5. Tesla Blog ArsTechnica Tesla has agreed to acquire SolarCity for a $2.6 billion full stock deal. Each SolarCity shareholder will get .110 Tesla shares as a part of the deal. They hope to combine their energy innovations to create the worlds most energy sustainable company. I think that this deal is one that should have been made way long ago, and it only makes sense with all of the battery storage technology that Tesla plans to roll out that they have solar technology to roll out with it. It makes perfect sense for them to merge.
  6. I don't know where you're from but in North America warranty is through the brand or company. And also Windows 10 being good is one thing and I'm fine with that, but sneakily installing it onto PCs without permission in sketchy ways like security updates is not okay.
  7. Microsoft for their asinine customer support. 90 day warranty on controllers, AND you need the proof of purchase. No exceptions whatsoever, and if plugging your controller into Windows doesn't work, they try selling you random adapters and such to dig you deeper into their ecosystem. And that's without speaking of how they're sketchily pushing Windows 10 onto systems that don't want it. Shit company.
  8. Any guarantees that all components of your system will continue to work? So I have a RAID card that fails after the upgrade but everything else works, do I still get a free laptop? What if my system has had no Windows Updates since 2014 and needs to install them before getting Windows 10? If I bring it in by noon and the 2 years of updates don't finish by the end, I get a laptop?
  9. Flash is bloated and eats RAM like donuts anyways.
  10. Wow, it aerates the water making it taste better? What a time to be alive! /s That's a pretty similar pitch to the $1,000 HDMI cable filtering your pixels for the highest quality resolution.
  11. You should note that this is the Prime Day Bundle, not just a Hero Session. The Hero Session has a $200 MSRP anyways, but the Prime Day deal is the Session + a bunch of accessories and a remote.
  12. As much as it pains me to ever tell somebody to buy a console.. If you absolutely can't spend more than $300 on your gaming platform, this deal is impossible to pass up. You get an Xbox One (bleh consoles), your choice of 2 AAA titles (bleh consoles), a controller (actually pretty good), a $50 Amazon gift card (basically an instant rebate), but at $279.99. 13. For $630 you can build your own PC that has an Intel Pentium G or i3 series processor which have way better IPC than the FX series and you can also buy a GPU newer then the 750 Ti.. Either you could get the 1060 coming out soon or the RX 480.
  14. No! You're wrong! You're an idiot! Get your facts before you blindly accuse me of having uncivilized arguments! /s
  15. I stay in Boston for 2 months during the summer every year for vacation and I've found the Boston Craigslist to be pretty active. Other than that, we don't have much in terms of high end used classifieds unless you want to go to eBay or the LinusTechTips classifieds but that will incur shipping charges.
  16. Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2014. It was cool in the beginning as my first mechanical keyboard but for the price I could have bought a better quality Corsair keyboard.
  17. The router itself outputs coax and not ethernet? I've never heard a router or any switch for that matter that outputs to coax.
  18. I had a router that I used from ~2006-2014 and it needed a short reboot for port forwarding lol.
  19. The entire printer industry has their thumbs up their assholes and has had them permanently fixated there since their inception. - Don't pay for $60 ink cartridges (which have the same amount of material as two ketchup packets)? Deactivated! Pay out the ass for $60 ink cartridges but there's less than 50% left? Low ink! Get your $60 ink cartridge refilled by, heaven forbid, an authorized retailer? Deactivated! Your $60 ink cartridge says it's empty but you can shake it and hear the ketchup swash around? Too bad, buy a new set! - I don't understand why we give ISPs so much flak and then the printer industry can get away with this bullshit for over 20 years.
  20. Esperanza G102.. I couldn't find a more ghetto controller if I tried. I would try to sell that thing on eBay or Craigslist and get a controller that is supported.
  21. If you really want to do it properly, you're going to need - Double (or even triple if you want) redundant power supplies. You'll also want a UPS and maybe even a power generator to keep your server online during power outages. - Business grade internet so you have a static IP and guaranteed uptime (much more expensive than residential internet). If you're experiencing slow network issues in and/or out of your server, consider paying for a gigabit fiber line. - Server grade hardware. This means a server motherboard, one or more Xeon server CPUs, and ECC memory. - Server grade storage. This means enough storage to save your player files and worlds, but also on a RAID 1 or RAID 10. RAID 1 if you want data redundancy, RAID 10 if you want data redundancy and speed. SSDs would be preferred here for obvious reasons. An enterprise grade HDD for any archival data would be also be good. If you're really up to dropping all that cash and building yourself a mini datacenter.. I guess go for it. But to me and most people in this thread, it just makes straight up more sense to rent from an actual datacenter that will take care of hardware cycles, power, bandwidth, guarantees, and hosting for you in a price that is much easier to swallow than dropping the many thousands of dollars on the items I mentioned above. But hey, if you're really up to it, nothing really stops you besides from all that money.
  22. I wish you could choose what resolution to download a game at. Dear game developers, can I PLEASE download a 1080p version of a game if I know 100% that I'm never going to play it in a higher resolution? Save me time waiting and space on my hard drive for something I'm never going to use!
  23. I would do what the comments above me said and ask anyone you know with an adapter to borrow it and test it out to see how well it works for you. Either that, or you could buy one at a store that has a good return policy and then return it if it sucks. The only way to really test how great the wiring in your house for internet is would be to straight up try it.
  24. If you stream on Twitch with a bitrate of 4500 to 5000 (typical among streamers) then you're looking at 2.025-2.25 GB of bandwidth usage per hour that you stream at that bitrate. Make sure you set your bandwidth in whatever software you're using and you don't accidentally start streaming super high bitrate (assuming your internet speeds can support that) as that will kill your bandwidth much quicker.
