Happens the same for other games, it doesn't happen all the time, and usually just requires a quick restart but still very annoying. Will have a look into the windows versions, thank you

How do other games behave? Do other games work with proper GPU usage? Also - I heard that the newest Windows 10 update causes major GPU usage and FPS issues, especially with high end GPUs, such as yours. Maybe try to update your drivers and look up which Windows version you have and which one causes issues. Sorry I don't know which Windows version exactly causes the problems.

Yes I do! Sometimes games won't show up in the gpu usage part in task manager it will come up in desktop window manager (DWM). DWM is responsible for graphical processing. But if you have wallpaper engine or lively wallpapers I would recommend pausing it while you run games that might help to.

I'mma toot my own horn here:
tl;dr - this isn't a temperature problem, it's likely due to bad caps. So it's really up in the air what the chances are. EVGA however said their official defect rate is 0.02%. But this is for people who actually went through the RMA process.

Oh yeah ofcourse, i have set the power limit to 92%, but i really want to F*cking over clock the beast and use its full potential.

you can leave it on, no problems.  Or take it off.  As long as you aren't using your pc as a dartboard you shouldn't need it

    it doesn't make a difference
I doubt your card will get hot enough on the SLI fingers to melt rubber
I kept the SLI covers on my G1 Gaming 980ti and never had any issues

So i've just built my 2nd rig that i've ever had and im pretty proud of what ive done
but now that i've done this im feeling rather excited and i want to do more
so what aesthetic adjustments and additions can i do to my rig, without it being too complicated?

    thanks!

I personally never trust those, always considers the bare minimum and leaves little to no room for any error. Use that as a starting point and add 100W at least to be sure.
Not to mention a 250W PSU is likely really bad quality as well.

PCPP usually overestimates the required wattage.

250w is MORE than enough for a 1050 IF it is a quality unit. This not being a good PSU means that while its doable, it's not really recommended.

Could be poorly optimized games, can you give a rundown off your complete rig?
Also have you tried upping the games "priority" From task manager?
Do you run something on the baground that could eat /ram / cpu performance.

ps also some cleaning like running virus scan /malwarebytes ccleaner and plain old disk defragment also might not be a bad idea, tho I doupt it would be it but just to exclude all the variants

ps2. reinstalling nvidia drivers, deleting them booting and then installing new drivers rather than just updating.

ps3 but also maybe try changing the games profile (in Nvidia control panel, manage 3d settings) power management mode > set to prefer max performance.

Nice build. I think others have already said what I'd say for cheaper components, but I'll give some words of wisdom. Don't downgrade your CPU; it's a small cost in terms of the overall build, and you do get some performance gains. Judging by the amount of time you keep your hardware, it's better to have something that will last longer. You have a significant gain in stock speed, plus the ability to OC. There have also been reports that BF1 has trouble on i5's. So in the future, you might have more issues.
Do the build you want. The small amounts here and there don't add up to much, and the cost over the life of the system really isn't that high. Except perhaps the RAM. There should be another blue option at a lower price point.
You could save a decent chunk going with air cooling, but it'll alter the aesthetics of the build quite significantly.
You got a window to show off the sexiness, I'd just leave it. Unless you really, really can't handle the 40 pound extra.

I don't think there's a way to make it cheaper.**
Dear God. The Canadian education system isn't that bad.
They're about the same as a good air cooler. However good air coolers can cost just about the same. So. Apples to apples.

Well basically i'm not even sure if im suppose to upgrade the cpu or to a SSD. All my programmes launch so slowly even chrome and the programmes don't respond a lot (I checked multiple times for a virus, clean as a whistle).
