I play a bunch of games but I will most likely be playing Skyrim, Fallout 3/NV, Mass Effect and Batman series and whatever I can grab cheap in the Steam Winter Sale.
I'm currently shopping for a cheap, temporary graphics solution. I have found a HD7770 for £65 and plan to run it on a 1440x900 monitor until I have the funds to purchase a high-end card/new monitor.
Anyone know how it will run on 1440x900?
Any help is appreciated.
Has Splinter Cell, Arkham Origins and Black Flag been up yet? I know Hitman, Saints Row 4 and Sleeping Dogs have been and those are probably the only games I would select if I did purchase a 7970, and not because I want them.
They cost around the same when you factor in the free games. 770 comes with 3 relatively new games, whereas the 7970 has a selection of games that you can find for £10 these days (except Thief, which hasn't been released).
I play Borderlands and Batman games so PhysX is more appealing to me, plus I haven't bought Batman: Arkham Origins or Assassins Creed: Black Flag yet, so that's a bonus. Also I used Skyrim as an example because hopefully Fallout 4 will be coming in the next year and is likely to be similar graphically.
Currently looking at building: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/2dgd2 and I was wondering if there is anyway to improve it. It is already pushing my budget to the brink. I already have a 620 Corsair PSU and a copy of Windows sitting about.
Also what sort of fps can I expect playing games like Skyrim?
I'm confused. I should go with the FX-6300 because it's less powerful but cheaper, but I should also grab the 7950 which is more expensive and less powerful.
I hear people get massive frame drops in CPU intensive games like WoW and Skyrim. These are games I will be playing and I really want a smooth gaming experience.
