DoubleUx2 got a reaction from WhiskeyOmega in Paid for a Year of Floatplane in US Dollars!?
Just checked it as a Dutch guy, PayPal did not state the amount when completing the transaction. (might be because I have setup one click payments)
I've learned as a European that $ means USD unless CAD, AUS, or something else is stated before it.
It is a valid point to bring up and I'm sure if you give feedback to a moderator or employee they will clarify which currency is being used.

DoubleUx2 got a reaction from BurgerBum in Experiences with non-techies
So I started with a College course in Business & IT Management.
Everyone in the class knows how computers work and what you should not do, but our teacher had a strange habit.
She double clicked everything ... ... EVERYTHING!!!
Even the frigging startm enu, and she was wondering why it didn't show up.
Every time she double clicked something you are not supposed to click twice on the whole class clenched there but cheeks together and a vacuum was created in the room.
It was horrifying.

DoubleUx2 got a reaction from thomas harding in Worth bitcoin mining?
Thingy I posted in a different topic, dajusted for you:
Here is an example if you were to buy an Antminer
You buy this:
https://bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020150921111108071J5Y5yOdO0670
and
https://bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=000201505040743496917U7kGsCm0694
Total : $1740 (Depending in which country you live you also have to pay import taxes, for example:
I live in The Netherlands so I have to pay 21% taxes which would make the total price: 2105.40)
You fill in the information in a calculator and you get this:
http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/bitcoin-mining-calculator/?h=4660.00&p=1180.00&pc=0.0&pf=0.00&d=60813224039.44040000&r=25.00000000&er=240.47190000&hc=1740.00
You could break even within the first year depending on the difficulty and the value of the bitcoin
IMPORTANT:
The Bitcoin price may rise or go down even further and the difficulty level could go up again (For example, in around 12 days it will become over 3% harder to mine. source: https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty )
Clear enough or do you need more info?

DoubleUx2 got a reaction from ThinkWithPortals in ITX 6700K OC $1400
I am really worried about overheating in those small cases.
I've chosen the 380T cuz its managable and the airflow is great,.
I do like the looks of the those cases you mentioned, Ill look into them a bit more.
So the PSU is not enough? I figured with 100Watt to spare it would work fine to OC, Ill find a bigger one.

DoubleUx2 reacted to Didyman in LG Curved 34UC97 - 87 Current News, Reviews and prices
Awesome post, I have a Dell 21:9 monitor and if anyone is on the fence with the LG monitor just buy it. Once you get a 21:9 monitor you really cant go back to 16:9 without feeling like you are missing something. Almost everything works in 21:9 now and for anything that doesn't you still basically have a 27" 1440p 16:9 monitor.
I know I posted this before but here is a comparison I made of 21:9 resolutions compared with 16:9 ones in case anyone is interested:

Sounds good, and if having issues, be sure to post the log from the Advanced view as well, for the particular slot. Typically in the log you will see the actual points giving for completion.

DoubleUx2 reacted to prochaos in LG Curved 34UC97 - 87 Current News, Reviews and prices
Ive been looking into this monitor as a replacement for 3 Dell u2414h monitors since i first saw what little news was released on it.
Just to Clarify there are 3 different versions of this monitor,
34UC97-S
34UC87-B black
34UC87-S gold
the only difference between the 97 and the 87 is that the 87 has a complete black back and stand, the stand can go up and down and it has a vesa mount compatability, which is puts it ahead of the 97 however it is referred to as the business version and seems to be only available in Austria and Germany, there doesnt seem to be any difference between the 87-s and the 87-b, at least not at the moment.
Here are several links that will interested those that want further information on the new LG curved monitors, theres very little info out atm and linus video review seems to be the only indepth review out atm apart from the 3 reviews from the German amazon page for the 97, linked below.

http://hardforum.com...=1834533&page=2
An early forum post about the 97 which indicates and shows some backlight bleeding, more discussions as well on the monitor
Video of the 97, 1:58 you can see some backlight bleed, however someone stated they had a similar issue with the 34um95 and the bezel was too tight so he loosened the bezel what he thought was backlight bleed was gone, so we will have to see.

A recent forum post and official thread on the 97 on hardforum, a user recently got a hold of a 97 and should be giving his/her views on it soon, some images as well

http://www.overclock...d=17&catid=1120
The overclockeruk page for the 97 and currently 1 of 2 retailers with it available in the UK, recent forums posts inidicate it will be available on overclockers in early Novemeber but that only an estimate.
http://www.amazon.co...keywords=34uc97
Amazon page for the 97, 3 german retailers have it available for delivery to the UK but at very high prices.
http://www.bhphotovi...ips_curved.html
US retailer with the 97 available for purchase at only $1299, the user from hard forum post purchased it from here, just to give you an idea $1300 is only £813, so it is the cheapest currently.
http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/
I recently ask them if they would review the 97 or 87 and the responded with "Yes, we are hoping to review one of them at some point when samples become available to us" a review from tftcentral will ultimately be what most people are looking for, more questions than answer at the moment.
Linus's review and the only current video review on the 34UC97, its been 3 weeks since the review and very little has followed from anyone else.
