  1. @thrasher_565 Update, I am going with the NZXT H6 Flow, Small Size and top of charts for GPU cooling.
  2. I like the concept of the Fractal Design Torrent, as well as the NV7, but they are very expensive. Since I like the 3x bottom fans for extra GPU cooling, I'm looking for something that can do the same as those, but with 140mm configuration explained in the title. I also want it to be as small as possible while fitting a 320mm GPU. Budget? idk depends if the case is really worth it. $200 is just too much though. Any suggestions?
  3. Thanks, trying to find a good baseline, and you helped. I plan on selling it to a friend, for a low price. I have it listed on my local marketplace, but didn't actually know the value. I put it too high, $300. I have a microcenter near too, so hard to compete with their good combo deals.
  4. I don't really know what this is worth, can I get some suggestion for fair prices so I know what to sell it for? i7-8700k z390 Gigabyte Aurous Wifi 4x8 Corsair 3333mhz RAM ID Cooling low profile cooler
  5. After some review, we are looking at doing this instead. AMD Build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hvXDxH
  6. I had to do some research, but yea, the 6750 xt looks good. better for last of us part 1 also and starfield like you mentioned. thanks.
  7. Budget (including currency): $950 USD Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: RDR2, The Last of Us Part1, Starfield Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Not apposed to AMD, but 5600x3d or 7600 are what I was looking at, but couldn't make the final say on them. Intel Build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FsFvWt I have a local Microcenter that I can make purchases from. The prices in the list are very similar to MicroCenter + Amazon for the GPU. Can anyone do better? I'm curious what I might have missed.
  8. That's a really good perspective to look at it from. Not to mention if you got rid of the AIO and all the fans in your build there it would cost less than what I have, while still performing the same.
  9. I figured around $600. I posted it for $800 to see if I got any bites, didn't really think I would, will probably lower it to $600 and see if that pans out. I know it's a strong PC other than the GPU. Good to get a perspective on it though. Appreciate the feedback.

  11. I lost my Mini USB to 9?pin Corsair fan controller cable. where can I get just the cable at? It's the cable that goes to the Corsair Node. You can see the mini USB in this picture.
  12. Buy this used for $800? I offered $700, which i'd be ok with, but they countered with $800. Just doesn't seem worth it. Intel fanboy, I know I could buy Ryzen that would do ok for cheaper. Decided if I can find the 8700k for a decent price id go for it. I already have a 1080 Ti that I would put with it. 13. Bump, any other suggestions? I've been out of the building scene for a few years, I'm not apposed to Ryzen, but let me know the pros/cons of switching.
  14. Hey guys, I've gone through a couple a builds throughout the years, always upgrading to new stuff after about 3-5 years passing my old stuff to friends and family. My most recent build I've had the longest, as it's still quite capable, and honestly could probably last me another few years, but the itch is setting in, and I've had my eye on an RGB build for a while now... See, my current build is just black w/red LEDs. I really like my setup, but I've always wanted to make a red, white, and blue tower, truly embrace my love for the colors and have the feeling of glory and freedom shining bright. Specs: i7 4790k Asus z97-ar ATX Mobo Red Corsair Vengeance 4x4gb 1600mhz RAM 250gb Samsung SSD 1tb western digital HDD EVGA 1080 ti 700w gold EVGA psu 6x Red Corsair AF 120mm fans Meshify C case My thoughts are to keep my GPU and HDD and just upgrade everything else. Sell old parts to recoup some cost. Suggestions for an increase to perform over current specs within a limit of $800-1000? (Keep in mind, don't need a GPU.) Should I get a new RGB GPU to really pull off the look I'm going for, or keep what I got? What could I expect the price different to be if I change it?
  15. I just need to know if the motherboard will be compatible without having to update bios. its for an APU build that will eventually have a GPU put into it for a gaming rig.
  16. Showing a compatibility issue in this list, anyone have experience with this board already being ok with bios update to work with the CPU? 17. That's cool, didnt know. if there's a better Nvidia GPU for the price, then make the list. thank you.

  19. hmm, I think the GPU needs an 8pin and a 6pin plugged into it as well, not just a single 8. makes sense, I didnt know that. So it's just not capable of pulling more than 75w no matter what from 6pin, guess ill just need to buy a PSU to throw into it. ------------------- Lack of description on my part, I'm getting a used setup that has an unknown PSU, but all other parts are listed in the PCpartpicker list. And I already own the 970, but the guy im buying used from suggested the 6 to 8pin connector, so i thought it'd come ask the people i trust with these sort of things.
  20. Hey, I got a build I'm trying to put together, it's got about total 357w TDP and its got a 450w PSU already in it. Only issue, is I think the PSU only has a 6pin connector, so I was looking at getting a 6pin to 8pin converter... how bad is this? or will it be ok? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DV1Z32Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_JKRBEbK3YN8YG?fbclid=IwAR2d0YL6eVByLmQsNTN11v_W1ZS7b-5buAoMFa1MAShnzeet0KrQ9XqcBc8 PARTS ARE NOT ALL EXACT.... 21. You're probably right. No GPU would be sold with the system.

  23. Thanks, ya, was thinking the same thing. I think it would work with the in line controllers and thats it.
