Both failed within under a year, although I have bad luck when it comes to electronics apparently.

So time to tackle another niggle.
 
If you're familiar with the ASRock X99E-ITX you know it doesn't use the standard 2011(2011-3) mounting pattern which is  90x90mm, instead it uses a slim ILM mount usually found in servers, that's 100x75mm.
 
Because of this I had to modify the standard mounting hardware that came with the Kelvin S24. I thought I could get away with using the AMD mounting hardware which to my eye looks like its drilled for 100mmx70mm, so close, just enough to be a pain in the ass.
 
Having no issues with cutting up the AMD mounts I cut out the sides of the mount and then just used some aluminium plate across the top. Simple, but we don't need to make it more complicated than it has to be...
 
It's not pretty at the moment, (and I actually got it so hot while cutting it melted the paint on the stock bracket and imprinted into my plastic table) but a bit of black rattlecan should have it blending in nicely, also I think a decent job for a dremel and hand file.

i think tomorrow i will able to do leak test

The UPS guy didnt turn up until almost 8:00 last night so it isn't 100% done yet but its probably 90%. I don't have a ton of time this morning but I have a bunch of photos from the build that I will be throwing up here this afternoon.
 
I have to pick up more zip ties this afternoon, I ran out after re-doing the cable management a couple of times. 

So I decided to buy me some new fans and a new fan controller! Noctua ones
 
Already got my 2 Noctua NF-F12 PPC but I m still waiting for my Aquaero 6 Pro fan controller, they have some delivery problems...
 
Anyway, already Installed the new fans and took the opportunity to take some new pictures.

Hey, so, this is my first posting here, and also my first attempt at a water-cooled build of my own, and my first attempt at a little modding. 
 
As many have, I have chosen the Bitfenix Prodigy ITX-case, as I love the looks and the water-cooling I have seen in other similar cases ends up looking awesome.
 
I tried to take pictures along the way, but occasionally I went a little rogue and did a bit of work without documenting.

I wanted a build that would be pretty to look at from all sides, so most of the parts were chosen for aesthetics. Initially I was uncertain about the Avexir-memory, as they have a yellow glow, but they ended up looking pretty nice to break up the blue when the computer is turned on. 
 
I  started cutting out windows and removing the original plastic front. I then drilled a hole for the 120 mm fan in front, and cut the honey-comb on the inside to increase the airflow. 
 

 

 

 
Trying to even out the edges, and put a white layer of paint on the side panels, with a picture to compare before and after:
 

 
These were the original windows I chose, but I did end up changing them for clear acrylic instead of blue acrylic
 

 
In the pictures you can see how the rads fit, and where most of the general components end up. In the pictures there is a RM650 PSU, but I changed that out for a RM550 later because of the length, and there would be no reason at all for a 650 in this build. 
 

 

 

 
In the following pictures the side-panels are mostly ready, and you can see how components will show through the windows. Also, the blue fan in the front looks pretty good, and when the blue lights in the fan turns on, it will be a great effect with the blue acrylic panel being installed in front of it. 
 

 

 
This is the completed interior, and keep in mind that the lower right corner will be completely hidden, so the mess of wires down there won't be seen at all. 
 

 
This is the piece of white aluminum that I cut out in order to completely hide the wires. 
 

 
Also wanted to show of the back of the pump where it connects to the first rad, and the intake from the GPU. It was a bit complex down there because of the placement of the intake and output, and the position of the pump, but yet kind of an elegant solution. Not that it shows up much when the side-panels are on. 
 

 
The windows have now been attached to the glass, but I did realize that I made a little miscalculation when measuring, so there will have to be some holes on the right, towards the back, that will just have fake screw-tops in them, as it hits part of the case inside if the screws were full length, and it is a part of the case I don't really want to cut, as I am worried that would mess with the integrity of the case. 
 

 
These are the pictures of the final result, although I will probably end up calming down the blue a bit, as the LEDs were a little brighter than I had thought. The new front is cut from an aluminum panel, and gives the case a more sleek look to it, combined with the new vandal power switch. I went with blue water, to compliment the rest of the build, and all in all, I feel that I managed to keep with my original idea. 
 

 

 
This build was a bit of a challenge to me, as it was my first ever water-cooled build, and even more so because I went with the acrylic tubing. But in the end I am really satisfied with the result, and it now stands on my desk as my little pride and joy. Also, it is great how easy it is to transport compared to my other Corsair Air 540 Cube. 
 
 

IDEA
This is Project Cassini, named after the space-probe (named after the Italian mathematician) that visited Saturn's moon Enceladus in 2005.
I adopted a naming system based around objects in this solar system, which is why this Rig is called Enceladus.
The goal of this log is to upgrade my rig visually by adding a windowed sidepanel and LEDs.

About the Define Mini:
While it is nice and all, I have some complaints about it. For one there is no windowed side panel option, and it only has limited space for water cooling. (a 120 in the back, 140 at the top, that's it)
This update fixes the first problem I have with the thing.
 
Something like a year ago I asked Fractal if the side panel from an Arc Mini R2 (which has a window option) would fit and they kindly responded with a yes and a link to their spare parts shop where I was able to acquire the panel for ~12€. I only recently ended up buying it.

Today I picked up a mystery box from the post office:



It turned out to be a pizza box:



With a panel of sides:



Some of the nubsies that hold the panel in place were a bit bent, so I had to bend them and use a bit of force to get it on, but I managed to get it on there eventually:



I guess that the spare parts they sell are not the best quality, but have minor flaws like this panel had.
Since the Side panel is from an Arc Mini, the noise dampening foam is missing, maybe I will add some of that as well.

Since I am kind of in the middle of learning for an exam right now I don't have too much time to sink into this, which is why the pics are taken on my bed with bad lighting.
This post is already way too long considering that exam and such.

since a lot of people show off their cool rigs, I thought I'll share something...different and more "normal" with you guys.
 
I actually don't post logs but I am so amazed about this tiny, cool, silent case....I can't even tell. Such a perfect build quality. I am really amazed and I'm saying this cause I have the direct comparison with a Corsair Obsidian 250D in front of me. Lian Li really knows how to build perfect cases.

I am actually transferring from a Sharkoon Rebel9 Big Tower to this small machine, cause we moved into a new appartement where the internet connection is in the entrance so it needed to get as silent as possible and of course, smaller. Also it shouldn't look as bulky as a server normally looks like ;-)
