CalebTheEternal got a reaction from Jonathan Lee in Is it worth upgrading?
Little update. I ended up getting some new stuff. I got an AMD 5600 and a 6800-XT. MUCH better performance on 1440p and the super resolution or whatever its called to upscale helps fps a ton as well!

Right now I put this as the solved answer. I'll try it when I get home. I'll keep you updated on if that's the issue.

Did he plug in his SSD to access the data on it after he installed windows on the 2nd HDD?
If yes, it is very possible that he has a Virus on his SSD.
Try to use an Anti Virus Boot Disk and run a scan!

First try without a dac, if it still happens then its a problem with your house wiring and you could try a different plug.

CalebTheEternal got a reaction from Gung Pow Chicken in What Anti-Virus do you use and why?
I don't use one. I used to but haven't used one in about 2 years. I don't do a lot of dumb stuff so I think I'm good. I'll ocasioanlly use malwarebytes to do a scan about every 6 months to a year then I uninstall it again.

That's how I feel, I know the sites I go to and I know they can be trusted. Plus if I am just browsing the web WOT helps out a lot when it comes to unknown sites.

Please do not go for a 980 or a 980ti for Minecraft.... 970 will be fine. Even a 960 would be fine. You don't need SLI. It only really looks cool to be honest.

You going to be paying for it yourself? If so then go with what you want. If your parents are paying for it then don't get way more than you need. That's my opinion on it.

CalebTheEternal got a reaction from Arty in Motorcycle Insurance? Help a first time buyer
That's how it is. I mean there can be debates on who's fault it was. Insurance companies don't want to pay. I was in an accident in my car and the other person took fault and they had to pay for it.

CalebTheEternal got a reaction from Arty in Motorcycle Insurance? Help a first time buyer
I was thinking that, but does it make THAT much of a difference?
You can't complain for $25 a month. I'd rather do that than spend $3,000 a year on a bike that cost me $3,000

CalebTheEternal got a reaction from failblox in Trying to find a mechanical keyboard under £80
After having a K70 RGB I kind of agree. I now have the Quickfire Rapid and I love it. Even though they are the same switches it feels so much different. I don't really need the backlighting, but I kind of do like it when it's late at night when I need to look down to see where my hands are. I can see the keys and writing. I also like the shorter style. Without the num pad it's a nice size, but kind of hard to get used to not having it.

CalebTheEternal got a reaction from ivhyn in 60HZ vs 144HZ
See, I think this is not accurate. My dad who never plays games, he only watches youtube videos like once a month could REALLY tell the difference. My dad is also pretty much blind. Then again I have 3 other 60Hz monitors to compare it too. I will never go back to 60Hz for gaming, it sucks in my opinion. Only get one if you can get over 100 FPS on games.

I am LEM but have NO game sense. I am horible at knowing what to do but my aim and reaction time is amazing. I know virtually no nade spots either. There is always exceptions

Tried to put a CPU on backwards. Same build I forgot to pug in ALL of my fans, including CPU cooler. Then forgot the SLI bridge AND GPU power. This was all on my current build... I tried to keep this a secret but you made me tell you

Peripherals(particularly monitors) bump up the price a fair bit. Especially 1440p and 4K, but IMO you should avoid 4K as it is ridiculous to run
