  1. yeah you are going to need ti get a new cpu. you simply can't run modern games very well on a 8 year old cpu.
  2. Rocking a 970. BUT I WANTS MOE GWAPHICS I NEEDS MOE GWAPHICS!!!!
  3. lol. powerpoint the most intensive program in ever made!
  4. Well technically i bought my 960 back from one of my friends so it's not that amazing of a deal. I got it because i'm making a secondary "render" machine for auto desk products so out main computers will still be free whenever my brother or i need to "render" anything. It's currently rocking a core 2 quad 9590 but i hope in the future to upgrade it to a 2011 (socket not year) xeon because they are going for really cheap.
  5. it's kaby lake. if you really want to upgrade i would just stick with your socket and get the 4670.
  6. Maybe but that was kind of a stagnate era for graphics. but now resolutions are getting alot bigger and vr is coming into the market i would say go a little higher.
  7. Well you can't really tell what tech will be in 5-6 years so you never really know. but with that GPU you won't last that long. you moght 2 years of life out of a 1060.
  8. Because it has 40 PCIE lanes it should be able to run all of that.
  9. What cpu will you be using?
  10. Yes but now that i look at it you may be using up all your pcie lanes but it shouldn't affect performance that much if at all.
  11. It should run all of that perfectly fine no problems
  12. Because screw movie theaters i'll just use the side of my house.
  13. if you have to build on carpet remember to constantly ground yourself on your computer case so you won't damage your components.
  14. Unfortunately you can't really do that with skylake but if you get a broadwell or older you might be able to do that. You would have to do a lot of research on each laptop to make sure it supports PGA not BGA (you can not remove a BGA processor). unfortunately the laptop's cooling system may not be able to handle a better cpu and it may drastically decrease battery life. also the laptop's bios may not support even support the cpu you put into it a just not boot. And cpu you get will have to be used unless you want to buy a new laptop and remove the CPU from it which is counter intuitive. Personally i would not try to change a laptop cpu unless you are very comfortable with computers and working with laptops.
  15. it's more like a cache for the hard drive. I believe it stores frequently used data on it. there is a version with a 256 SSD instead for the same price. https://www.amazon.com/Dell-15-6-Inch-Quad-Core-i5-6300HQ-Processor/dp/B015PYYDMQ
  16. Dell Insprion 7559 It's what i got and it's really good.
  17. I wish i had these back in high school.
  18. actually just i wanted to know under what conditions the results where produced in.
  19. What are the cards that you are using? And what monitor are you using?
  20. Too bad it's not an actual thing. That would be amazing if you accidentally overclocked it to 6ghz.
