  1. CPU: AMD Athlon X4 760K @ 3.8Ghz GPU: MSI TwinFrozr R9 280 3Gb RAM: 8gb DDR3 Score 0.3
  2. Removed plate from one connector and found out that is uses only 2 wires(6 avaiable, but used only 3 and 4). Looks like pretty use less sockets. They were installed in 2000. Anyways, it isn't that important. Already have wire that goes from modem straigt to pc and another one to IPTV decoder. Just was curious if socket can be useful
  3. Mmm, makes sense. Thanks for reply, sounds like bad idea
  4. So I one day I was thinking about it, tried googling but failed. So I have many RJ-11(phone line)female connectors around my flat that used to connect phone, but I don't have phone for many years now and they're sitting empty. My question is - Can I use these wires in wall to connect to the internet? I know that internet uses only 4 wires - same amount of connections has my wall mounts. Can I just put RJ-11 connector on Cat 5e cable and on other end RJ-45 and make it to work?
  5. One quick question, I'm still using LG FLATRON that still has only D-SUB(VGA) output. And MSI R9 280 has Dual-link DVI-I, HDMI and DisplayPort. It means I need new monitor too? Because I can't find a passive adaptor between these, only active ones that cost around 40$.
  6. Clockspeed misleaded me. Thanks for replies so fast! Then most likley gonna grab MSI 280
  7. Hello! Right now i'm deciding between Asus AMD/ATI Radeon R9 270X 2GB GDDR5 PCIE - 208€ and Asus AMD/ATI Radeon R9 280 3GB GDDR5 PCIE - 212€ and MSI AMD/ATI Radeon R9 280 3GB GDDR5 PCIE - 213€ Here you can see full spec comparison between them Which one should I go for? (In same price range is 760, but in benchmarks it shows worse results) Other specs: -MB: Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H -CPU: AMD Athlon X4 760K on CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO -RAM: Corsair Vengance 8gb @ 1600 -GPU: AMD Radeon 4850HD 512mb -HDD: 160gb and 320gb drives -PSU: Corsair CX600m -Case: Coolermaster N400
  8. Thanks for replies Ordered CM 212 EVO, it should arrive tomorrow, but right now I have another question. Is it alright to clean processor from thermal paste with pads that are saturated by 70% Isoporipyl Alcohol? It's quite hard to get it in bottles right here so I bought few while was in phermacy store.
  9. I'm shopping at local internet shop where I buy most things from. I like their service and prices are lowest I have seen in Latvia. http://www.1a.lv/datoru_komponentes/cietie_diski_ssd It might be hard to navigate there because it isn't in english. Well then I most likely going to go with 120gb samsung ssd and WD black 1TB
  10. As i'm not rushing anywhere first thing I think will be SSD. Should I go for - Samsung 840 EVO 120gb for 70€ or Kingston SSDNOW V300 240gb for 90€? Will I see any real world difference in speeds or reliability? Monitor right now is not that important for me so I will stay with current one for few more months without problem. Also will there be any difference between 2gb and 4gb GPU at 1080p?
  11. Hello, right now i'm using following specs: -MB: Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H -CPU: AMD Athlon X4 760K on stock cooler (Will be overlocking later when will get new cooler, right now on stock) -RAM: Corsair Vengance 4gb x2 @ 1600 -GPU: AMD Radeon 4850HD 512mb -HDD: 160gb and 320gb drives -PSU: Corsair CX600m -Case: Coolermaster N400 My question is - What is best suitible GPU upgrade here? I'm right now deciding between R9 270(x?) and GTX 760. But as GTX960 isn't that far away, then my plan right now is to buy SSD and wait for GTX960 to appear in local online stores. Should I stick to it? I'm going to use it for playing what ever is most suitible settings for playable fps. Right now using 1280x1024, but later on 1080p What would you suggest me for my plan?
  12. Alright. Gs600 doesn't have 20+4 pin connector, but rm550 is little bit over budget. cx600 meets both requirements. Is it a good choice?
  13. Damn, forgot that there are different mb connectors. It's 20 pins. What's "rm" psu?
  14. yeah, I know. I just wrote most important components to know what wattage I will need. But will it work with my current system for some time? (hd4850, pentium r duo @ 2.83)
