  1. I always thought a better card was better than running two lower tier ones?
  2. I'm happy with the R9 270X I have but I usually stream a lot and I rather have the power and not need it type thing lol. Plus, my brothers rig will end up getting the R9 so it wont be sitting around unused.
  3. Hey guys, I'm looking to dump around 800-900 into my current rig to upgrade it a bit, Current build is as follows: Case: Coolermaster HAF 912 CPU: i7 4770K not OC'd CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 7 Pro Rev. 2 Mobo: Gigabyte Z87X Ram: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8gb (2x4gb) 1600 PSU: Corsair TX650M GFX: MSI R9 270X 4gb (RMA'd once for artifacting) HDD: Random WD 1TB ------------------------------------------------------------------ Here is what I put together on PCpartpicker. NOTE: I will be using the existing CPU w/ cooler, optical drive, and possibly buying a new HDD or using my current one. My one concern I can't seem to get past is the VRam issues with the GTX 970. I know a lot of people say it's not an issue unless I'm running everything on super ultra mega beast mode settings but still. I know the R9 290x is basically the same but what do you guys think? PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor (Purchased For $0.00) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H ATX LGA1150 Motherboard Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($119.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($94.99 @ Amazon) Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB WINDFORCE Video Card ($358.99 @ Amazon) Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro ATX Full Tower Case ($99.99 @ Amazon) Power Supply: SeaSonic X Series 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($129.99 @ Newegg) Total: $803.95 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-04-20 15:38 EDT-0400
  4. Diablo 2 and its expansion which was released June 20th, 2000. I'm such a HUGE D2 nerd it's actually pretty ridiculous lol it was one of the first PC games I ever got into and I love it till this day. I even have like 2-3 battle chests in my closet because of misplacing disc's throughout the years. Best. Game. EVER.
  5. I do! I'm a community manager for a pretty large community that happens to have a WoW guild which I'm the GM of conveniently lol. We have both an RBG team and raid group, our PvP team was just under 2100 rating and our raid group is currently 7/10 Heroic Blackrock Foundry. We're located on the Korgath US realm and we are actually looking for a healer for our raid group (670ilvl+) if any of you fine gentlemen are interested . http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/korgath/Shockwavee/simple
  6. Changed the orientation of my CPU cooler since I'm an idiot and had it the wrong direction and applied new IC Diamond thermal paste.
  7. Sooooo I did a little fixing and here are the new temps under the same stress as before. Left is before the fix and right is after. Thanks for the help gentlemen, greatly appreciated!
  8. Lol no shit, what's your steam name? I think a CPU cooler change and some new thermal paste would be a fix.
  9. Yeah I'm a dumbass and I didn't realize the CPU cooler isn't the correct orientation lol. Here's the case I have all this stuff in. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119272
  10. Yeah the card was given to me and it's the only one I have currently.
  11. Hey guys, I'm new here and I apologize if this topic is posted somewhere else or already answered. Also I should add I'm a tech noob so be gentle . So I built my own rig a few years ago and I recently downloaded HWMonitor & CPU-Z and took a look at my temps and it kind of got me worried. I feel like my CPU is running pretty hot under moderate stress..I didn't run a benchmark or anything because I don't play much on this PC other than BF4 and some WoW nor overclock anything. The numbers below are from moderate stress in a high intensive area in the game under max settings in World of Warcraft. GFX is a R9270X 4gb. Are these numbers semi-normal or are my cpu temps way too high?
