TheDigitalRealm got a reaction from WaleedSaleh in Is this good for video editing?
The CPU is a dual core, which I believe runs at a base clock of 2GHz. Not really suitable for heavy work, but you can still edit on it. Just don't expect it to be fast.

TheDigitalRealm reacted to flibberdipper in Fractal Define R5, NZXT h440 or Phanteks Enthoo Pro?
Enthoo Pro. Great cable management, good looks, plenty of storage options... And I'm not at all biased.
Hello fellow Mitten person.

TheDigitalRealm reacted to ShadowCaptain in 1440p or wait for 4k
Since it seems a lot of the 300 series are rebadges, and we dont know how powerful the 390x will be I still think its too early for 4k
even 2x 980s or not enough
My vote is get the new 1440p 144hz IPS Gsync/Freesync displays

TheDigitalRealm got a reaction from Meawa in Hive Fire (watercooled custom 800D)
What an odd thing to say...I'm really unsure of what your point is. Of course there's reason to water cool a mainstream socket.

TheDigitalRealm got a reaction from McMurderMonkey in Fractal Design with 3 new all-in-one water cooling products.
It's good to see the partnership with Alphacool. They make great radiators, hopefully these will gain more wide-spread availability, unike the Swiftech H320 and H220 in the UK. They've actually improved over Swiftech's design. It's literally a pre-built custom loop.

yeah bud, thats the only stuff to use IMHO. The primochill LRT is supposed to be one of the only non-leaching tubing around.
Very good choice @Spev

I absolutely love the black & white colour scheme. That cable management on the back is pretty tidy, though.
I'd like to see this with side panels on. :3

TheDigitalRealm reacted to ClownFace1511 in Dad running 800x600 resolution for years!
So my dad has had this computer for many years now, ever since i was in primary school. So lets say its getting close to 8 years old, not sure exactly. It has a AMD cpu in it (ATI sticker...), a sata 1 hardrive and is running vista. I dont know the exact specs but its old. Anyway so he has this AOC monitor which he has been using since he bought the computer. When i was a younger child i used to use his computer for assignments and stuff but never touched it apart from that. Today my mum needed to print something and needed my help. I was in word helping her out then i went to the desktop. All the icons were so big and so i went into display settings only to find he was on a 800x600 resolution.
So after 7-8 years i never realised that the resolution was so screwed. Its like some 27-28" AOC monitor which can support 1920x1080 but was set to run 800x600. So thats my story. I changed the display to make it 1920x1080 and it looks very nice. My dad said it will take some getting used to, but seeming as he watches a lot of stuff on youtube im sure he will like the 1080p quality.
I had to share it with you guys cause i still cant believe it....

TheDigitalRealm got a reaction from alby800 in Aegis Avenger inspired gaming PC.
Yes, spray on. That's another aspect I'm not happy with, the coating is far too thick - I made the mistake of buying a cheap can, which meant the nozzle was terrible quality and it came out in much thicker droplets than I'd like. I also didn't use the sand technique to help it stick to the RAM modules, but it still looks decent.
