TheDigitalRealm got a reaction from Septimus in Should I Buy 1070 Founders Edition??
It won't be very significant if any performance gain. As said above, the GPU boost usually takes them above their official boost clocks. The 1070 doesn't usually get hot and gets similar boost speeds to third party custom PCB cards. If you really like the founders edition aesthetic, and don't care about really pushing your card with overclocking, go with the Reference founders edition if thats what you prefer aesthetically.

If we're talking 2nd hand, then there are a lot of better options - Heck, a GTX 970 used would beat it handily. Taking into account that Nvidia really nerfed the 700 series in driver updates once the 900 series was established so I'd steer clear of a 700 series card or any Kepler based GPU at this point.

Not at all. It would take atleast two more GPU generations at the pace we are going at before the thought of a bottleneck can be a thought.

Most likely not, but we don't know the performance of a 1080 Ti, so we cant know...

A top of the line consumer CPU won't bottleneck a top of the line consumer video card

Exactly, and even then, if Zen is all its cracked up to be, processors with more than 4 cores will be dropping fairly soon. With the industry push Zen will hopefully create, I doubt any 6700K priced processor from Intel or AMD will ever bottleneck a top of the line GPU. Sticking with the 6700K and it'd still hold up for years with no issues.

How do people still ask this question with a 6700K? Jeez. If you're buying this kind of hardware, you really should know this by now and have invested the time in learning. Linus has done many videos covering this exact topic, as well as doing analysis on how many cores are used in modern titles and how much the CPU matters in terms of load distribution. You'd have been fine with an i5 6600K nevermind the i7. Essentially, barring badly optimised titles and the rare few games that can use more than 4 cores, most of which are still in development, you're fine with a Quad core processor.

I guess some of the less tech savy or some from the older generation aren't used to the "throw away" technology of today. Going back 20 or 30 years. Things were made to last. That's why there are still 50 year old cars on the road, but in 50 years time you can guarantee there wont be any 2013 Ford Fiesta's on the road.

Do you guys understand what I'm getting at?

No buddy you should be fine. Most GTX 980 Ti's seem to be reaching around 8GHz on their memory clocks. Without touching the core clock I got mine safely to 8.4GHz but had to back it down to 7.4GHz to get my core clock up to 1500+MHz stable.

You can have the H100i installed and fit a rear fan in just fine bud. I have a Corsair H105 installed and the rear fan isn't blocked at all. All  you need to do is slide the rear fan down to the bottom of the rails it's screwed into. That will give you enough room to mount it. Bear in mind that you'll have to have your tubing coming from the right side of the case, as with the rear fan installed there is not enough room to squeeze tubing between it and the radiator.

    Hope that helps!

I've got a Zotac AMP! Extreme edition and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. It stays passive playing games like Fallout 3, New Vegas and even Skyrim. Never goes about 66 degrees and the fan usually hovers at around 40-50% in demanding games.

My stock boost clock without any overclocking was 1430MHz core 7220MHz memory.

After Overclocking I'm able to run 1515MHz core and 8220MHz memory clock stable but with +87mV on the core and 111% power limit.

No, a true autistic person (meaning high on the scale) would not work well in this environment. But there are people on here on the autism spectrum. Comments like these should not be taken lightly. Mental illness isn't something to laugh at.

TheDigitalRealm got a reaction from Epis in The State Of This Forum
As someone who's been a member of this forum for over 2 years now, I agree that the general attitude displayed by members of this forum has become a lot less welcoming and impartial over the last little while. I wasn't active for a good 8 months and have only recently started being a more active member again like I used to. It's seems that with the influx of more members to the forum it's degraded the overall quality, objectivity and impartiality of information and advice given out to those seeking it.

I'm not sure if it's the new members themselves, or if it's the increased load that this many members puts on the forum moderators. Back when I used to be more active (mid 2013 to late 2014) I'd come across moderators a lot more often in threads, even for simple things like letting the OP know that the thread was being moved and/or closed. I think possibly the number of forum moderators hasn't increased proportionally with the number of new members joining the forum. They used to be very good at weeding out the bad eggs and troll posters. I don't know if anyone here remembers the spree of members joining to post advertisements on the forums? They'd get to post once or twice then those threads would immediately be taken down and they'd be banned within a couple of minutes.

It's true the nudge is always helpful, also flirting is a big way to get even closer to she if she likes you. I just transfered to a new school and i am in my senior year of highschool, it sucks it really does but, I recently found out that four girls have flirted with me and apparently would like to date me. I don't flirt back but I asked a friend who knows all of them pretty well to investigate so now I am in a pretty good place but as of right now I have to find out which one of the four has the better personality that suits me. So try to get a close friend or friends to help you out with her.

What do you think is the best phone for gaming?
For me, it is the upcoming Z5 Compact. With a snpadragon 810 on a 720p screen, it is twice as fast as the iPhone 6 in GFXBench. It also has 32GB storage and apps can be moved to the SD card. It also has a large battery and is reasonably priced on contract, so what is there not to like? Not to mention, it supports PS4 controllers natively, as well as Remote Play.
