  1. In Linus's review, he states a 25% average increase in performance. I didn't say anything about upgrading every year. (also you'd only be paying about $100 every year if you sell the old card before the new GPU releases) I agree with you on your last point though. The only reason the GTX 800 series excites me is because it could be the first generation where gaming at 4K with a single GPU at high-ultra settings could be viable.
  2. Nope, it gives you access to the ALPHA of a given module for every pass you buy. The Arena Commander Pass is for the dog-fight module ALPHA and future passes will be for future modules.
  3. There's enough room for any length of GPU in the H440, but you may have to remove the top HDD sled to fit it in. You'll still have the bottom sled for drives so it shouldn't be a concern unless you plan on building a PC with more than 5 drives.
  4. Yes, but the 880M is going to be a mixture of re-branded Kepler GK-104 and of the new Maxwell GPU's once they release. Linus stated so with the new Raze Blade 14 coming with 870M's in both Kepler and Maxwell variants. The Desktop side will definitely not be a re-brand. Not sure what you've been smoking but the GTX 780 was a 20%+ increase from the GTX 680.
  5. Running Cyanogenmod 11.X on mine. I've had it running for almost 2 months and have never had any issues with it.
  6. I was looking at it too, but I'm doing a re-build this summer and I'm starting to wonder if it'll ever hit the market. It's a really nice looking case that takes away the "marmite" looking stacked design feature of the Primo. I personally like it though.
  7. Does anyone know the exact differences between the Revision 2 and the original Enthoo Primo or point me to a site stating them. Scan mentions it but they're a little vague. And I'm asking questions about both it and where to buy it from. Thank you for your input.
  8. Because posting in capitals is the mature thing to do.. Honestly. If you're prepared to be civil, I'll ask you a question: I assumed that when the modules release, they will be in Alpha anyway thus I assumed that the arena commander module would give 'alpha access' to the modules.
  9. When I asked on this forum, most people said that you should either go for an all out custom loop or just stick to air cooled GPU's for the safest results. Google the Kraken G10 as in most of the reputable review sites, they've found a huge temperature delta between the GPU and VRM. Its been enough of a difference to become a worry for them. All I'd advise you to do is to take steps to ensure that your VRM stays cool. The only way I can see that happening is to stick copper heats sinks to VRM, which, with the fan blowing too, should be fine. Bare in mind though that you probably won't be able to sell the cards on, at least not with their stock coolers on as thermal adhesive does what it says on the tin. It sticks hard and is a real bitch to remove.
  10. TN panels would be irrelevant if this were true... Oh how I wish this were true...
  11. It's a method of getting members to read your post and help out. If I posted the name telco-tec, the chances would be slim that anyone would reply, considering not many seem to have heard of them, and because the majority on this forum aren't European. Are you here to help, or not?
  12. So I'm going to build my next rig in an Enthoo Primo this summer, and in trying to find the cheapest price I found a Computer component site that I'd never heard of before called Telco-Tec. I was wondering if you guys had heard of them? They offer the Phanteks Enthoo Primo for £178 including shipping, and Scan does it for £199 including free shipping on the entire order you place with that case. So my options are: TELCO-TEC: Phanteks Enthoo Primo £178 for the case including shipping. http://www.telco-tec-europe.com/computers-und-tablets/computer-components-/computer-cases/348635/phanteks-enthoo-primo-ultimate?currency=GBP Scan Electronics: Phanteks Enthoo Primo Rev 2 £199 including free shipping on my entire basket/order. http://www.scan.co.uk/products/phanteks-enthoo-primo-rev-2-full-tower-performance-case-with-side-window-e-atx-atx-w-o-psu
  13. If you can wait, I'd definitely recommend it, prices of old last gen gpu's will go down in the worst case scenario anyway.
  14. I'd still swap out all the cables. I think even if you said that in the RMA request, they'd request that you use the specific cables that came with the replacement, or was it just the PSU that was replaced?
  15. Have you plugged in the power and reset cables?
  16. There's no reason for there to be any logo other than the stock HP one. I'd say I'm 90% sure it's fake.
  17. The Arena Commander gives you Alpha access as well as the modules. They're one and the same thing.
  18. Lots of you seem to be naive when it comes to buying smartly on eBay...It's not difficult to find a good deal.
  19. Okay, so to reserve a spot in the alpha and beta AND have a ship, you'll need to buy the Aurora MR+ Package, which gives you your ship, some credits for spending, and 3 months insurance on your ship (as well as other things) Then you'll want to pick up the Arena Commander Pass to get into the Alpha. This is the cheapest option to get into both the Alpha and the Beta and will set you back $45 for both.
  20. As far as I'm aware you play at 1080p, you don't need to upgrade anything at the moment.
  21. Yes and no, depending on how you feel about it. The VRM will get hot. Very hot. I can't find the link to the article, but I believe in the article, the reviewer was testing and the VRM was reaching almost 90 degrees, which is still fine, but I wouldn't be comfortable with it.
  22. He want's to build an additional system.
  23. There are GTX 690's going for £250 on eBay over here in the UK. I guess it's new so that's a plus. Yeah go for it. at 1600p you'd get 60fps+ in every game out there.
