  1. This thing is pretty big but not as big as you'd think, $(1*10^19) / $80 (~price of iron ore currently per metric ton) puts it at 1.25*10^17t or 1.25*10^20kg. Earth = ~6*10^24kg Moon = ~7.35*10^22 It's ~1/100 the size of the moon so it wouldn't screw around with the tides too badly and the earths orbit would definitely be screwed over it would take many 1000s of years to effect it, unless it was crashed into the Earths surface where the energy transfer would probably screw up our orbit however it's only 1/50000 the size of the earth.
  2. Inb4 Nintendo did this on purpose to publicise the game more and get more people interested in what it is.
  3. If you don't have to show working then open up a spreadsheet (Excel, google sheets, etc) for the sake of the argument I use Google so I will use those commands not sure if it is different in excel. Put your data in 2 columns then in a random box type "=stdevp(" then highlight the y series of plots so the independent variable then press comma "," and highlight the other series of plots and close bracket and you're done. There are several other methods for standard deviation which give a different result so I am assuming you're using the common one which is stdevp.
  4. There's one that is semi-working here. It's a GitHub project and it can run some games but pretty much forget running most AAA games. I daresay your Pentium also has very little chance of being able to run it.
  5. Hello, I am looking for a pricing table of transistors, much like this one here. However it only goes to 2002 and the source link is dead so I can't get more than that. Does anyone know of any other tables, (not graphs) of the average price of a transistor of the last 2 decades?
  6. Yes but to Valve that's alright, because if people are selling skins through steam valve gets their cut of the money and everyone is suddenly happy.
  7. Blue, cause bluemasterrace /s On a more serious note though, I've heard some speculation on each of the 3 legendary birds being linked to each team, and the possibility of each one being locked to its respective team until trading becomes a thing.
  8. I don't think mining asteroids is more dangerous than other planets. They both have their extreme complexities, however due to the largely less gravitational pull on asteroids, landing and mining will take much less work than all the calculations that would need to go into landing on objects with much greater gravity without already landing on them previously and working out the gravity. Plus the asteroids aren't too far away, they are only 'down the road' from mars so getting to and from without the need to land on each asteroid separately and calculate its individual gravitational pull. I think that resource targeting isn't as important as we think it is. With nano bots around the corner (10-30years) we'll be able to manipulate the actual atoms to become whatever we want them to be. So all that'll be necessary for that process is the raw material.
  9. 22/7 /s But in all seriousness we had a competition on pi day, that for every 10 digits of pi memorized they got to throw a water balloon at any teacher of the maths department, I only got 14, but some guy got 230...
  10. How do the people who are blaming AMD for the high prices expect them to compete? AMD releases a new high end card, it trades blows with nvidia's then everyone buys an nvidia card because of brand loyalty, advertising or some tech features. The other issue is whoever has the highest tier card gets most sales, if nvidia has the best perf. card on top then their lower tiers will sell better because the average consumer sees the best card is brand X so the best low tier card will be brand X. Anyone who complains about AMD lack of competition should buy an AMD card instead then next gen around Nvidia might price it lower. People will still buy these cards and Huang will get his money I think Polaris may compete with the 1070 MAYBE, but probably not the 1080 which means if nvidia can advertise that it has the best gpu in the world and when they release a 1060 everyone will buy it because they automatically think it'll be better than anything AMD offers.,
  11. If there was an easy and fast way to make money then everyone would have jumped on the bandwagon by now lol, the only way it would be possible is to design something yourself that no one else or very few people know.
  12. It's funny, down here in Australia they have to educate people that WW1 wasn't all the invasion at Turkey. Everyone here thinks world war 1 happened in Turkey and even then we had hardly any casualties there compared to the Western Front. You're not wrong about the war being everywhere, but the main cause for it was Germany and France, and most of the fighting was done there and that's where it was won/lost, which is why people think of that when WW1 comes to mind, oh and the Americans did join near the end and claim that they 'won the war' for everyone which is complete BS.
