A Dark Rock Pro 4 would do wonders

Hook up a Raspberry Pi to the internet and have its I/O pins connected to the PWR pins of the front panel header on the motherboard. Run a listener on the Raspberry Pi so when you send it a packet, it trips the PWR pins on the PC.

The cooling pad with a fan would probably be the best option. Maybe you can build something yourself with a PC case fan that you can later use in the pc you're going to build!

Make sure in Settings -> Privacy -> Microphone that "Allow apps to access your microphone" is enabled. This actually affects all apps, not just the ones in the list.

Your cpu uses like 55 watt at max power draw, and the GT 1030 around 30 at max power draw, so you're fine.

Really the best answer is it depends on you. Until you no longer are getting the experience you want from the games you play, then you upgrade. If you get the experience you want, then no need to upgrade. With that said, the 1070 should be fine for 2-3 years most likely at minimum. 

Yeah, you got it right with the setting up an account for him, non admin... and leaving yours as admin.

You could try this as well, and Samsung's software does make it very easy to recover everything when clean installing. You just need to make sure everything is backed up to Samsung.

Yes!! I've got a Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz laying around. It'd probs need a new mobo to OC, but I'd be interested in seeing how it performs.

You can't speed it up.... Apple intentionally slows down their devices to make you upgrade.
