So I recently got the new Windows update: Now I wanted to go in Discord with my friend, but the mic on my headset and my Samson Meteor mic are both not being picked up by Windows 10. I've tried restarting, reinstalling drivers, other usb ports. Nothing worked. Does anyone know a fix for this annoying AF issue?

The i3 8100 is better than the more expensive R5 1400 in games.

Are you planning to upgrade the CPU some time? If not, get a cheaper mobo if you can.

Like the title says. I was playing ETS2 and the game kept on restarting the game in some way, turns out Windows 10 was f***ing with some kind of "graphics hardware access". I've never had any issues like this one before the latest Windows 10 "update" (1803). Does anyone know a fix for this? INFORMATION: Notification in the notification bar: Windows 10 version: Nvidia driver version: 397.64 PC specs: GTX1070 (non-OC in ETS2) i7 4790K stock settings (Volts, multipliers) 24GB RAM ETS2 installed on SSD

I already have the latest one, 391,35, installed. I set Power management mode to Max Performance, it somehow ended up on Optimal power.

So I haven't played BF1 in a long time and I just started playing again, but the game is stuttering a lot. I have an i7 4790K, 24GB RAM and an EVGA GTX1070 FTW. BF1 is installed on my SSD All the temps are fine.

Can't change boot device in bios
xDanielxOossiex replied to xDanielxOossiex's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
@supercloneranger Thanks a lot for all of that info and your help! But I found out that there was an admin password set, and I didn't know what the password was. But I found out that I could reset it with Asus Resque Password. But now it's all good, it's running fine now! -

It shows the SSD in the SATA configuration -
So I installed an SSD in my laptop yesterday and installed Windows onit, but now it won't boot into Windows anymore. I can't change the boot device in the bios. I can't select the grey options (under Boot tab, photo 1), I can only select the blue ones(under Advanced, photo 2). The laptop is an ASUS GL552VW. So where/how do I change the boot priority?

So I just upgraded my laptop with an SSD and installed Windows on it, but how do I "get back" the games that are still installed on the other drives? I recently did upgraded a pc with an SSD for a friend of mine, but I forgot how we got his games back without re-downloading the games. Selecting the folders through "Steam > Settings > Downloads > Steam Library Folders" doesn't work because it says the folder has to be empty.

I wanted to upgrade my laptop with an M.2 ssd, but I'm not sure if this is the M.2 slot. Could someone confirm that it is?

GTX1060 6GB as upgrade for R9 280x Crossfire

Not even close to comparable performance, the 1050Ti has comparable performance. -
Your cpu uses like 55 watt at max power draw, and the GT 1030 around 30 at max power draw, so you're fine.
