  1. But the main point is that even in there original video: You can see it's definitely not running "easily run games at high shit 1080p 60fps", Most games they tested in the video have drops below 30 in places. Too many content creators are trying to build "console comparison" PC's and setting over optimistic ideals into peoples heads, it needs to stop. If you want a decent PC to game at high settings with good framerates you'll have to spend more than the price of a console, it's that simple.
  2. Here's the potato masher he was referring to: Case: Coolermaster Wavemaster (they reckon used its $10) CPU: intel i5 750 $55 Cooler: Arctic Silver 11GT $6 Motherboard: Asus P755 $67 PSU: Evga 430w $15 Ram: 4GB OCZ DDR2 $30 HDD: 320GB Samsung Spinpoint $20 (again that's what they quoted for a used one) GPU: MSI GTX 760 $140 Note they didn't include an OS or peripherals as they already had them, personally I can't see the build lasting long it's on the weak side. They've done "testing" on their vids claiming it runs games @4K DSR with playable framerates (GTA V) but whatever, at that low a budget I personally wouldn't bother.
  3. You thought wrong, As above medium settings 1080p @60fps for the most part.
  4. Purely my opinion of course but my reasoning behind it, he brought us: She's gotta have it, Crooklyn, He got game, Clockers, Bamboozled. and he was instrumental in the Jordan brand marketing in the early 90's I guess it's just what you're into, I know a lot of people rate Phil Jackson for example. I don't. Ha.
  5. Ah fair enough, Wasn't sure if I'd missed it on Steam or somewhere. Can't seem to find anywhere in the UK to preorder yet on PC guess I'll just have to wait. Haven't heard that about the story yet, mind giving me the source? I think Spike Lee's input is going to be a great addition to the "story" he's probably one of the greatest directors/producers of the last 20 or so years, I thought it might have just been a similar deal to Jay-Z with 2k13 and Pharrel Williams with 2k15, but a recent interview I read with him mentioned how he wanted to build a strong narrative experience, I'm hyped. "Peters says Lee shot what amounts to 90 minutes of “cinematic narrative,” which translates to about 12 hours of in-game drama."
  6. As long as your bills are paid then there's no problem, games and sneakers that's all I really spend money on for myself. Having a sons quite expensive, on a unrelated note (and I mention this purely since you're also from the UK) it really pisses me off that people who don't work get a free house and stuff from the council/housing authority. If I didn't have a mortgage I'd have a lot more spare per month EDIT: Just saw you did a vid on the MMX300's what's your opinion now you've had them a while?
  7. Be Quiet! make some nice stuff, really like the look of the Base 800. Make sure you get some pics up when it arrives!
  8. NBA 2K16. I wouldn't even care if it was a simple roster update I'd still buy it I need my 2k fix, But having Spike Lee on board... wow.
  9. I wouldn't be mad, if they did it would be a good decision business wise Tomb Raiders still a wanted franchise (although not as much as it were at one time) could mean they shift some more consoles. I'd be dissapointed missing out on the game but not to the point which would warrant a console purchase myself.
  10. Finally found my son a pair, going to keep them both deadstock until we go to Florida again in September, other than that just picked up a few games in the Steam sale.
  11. 15 on Uplay once you take out duplicates, 50 on Origin (again taken off duplicates) 18 on GoG, I want to say 20 or so PSN titles (I have a Vita) 5 WiiU titles (it's my sons really) add to that whatever PS3/Xbox360 titles I had that are at my parents house since I loaned them to my sister. The moral of the story is gaming is my only vice, I don't consume alcohol or smoke, It's quite depressing when I think how much I've spent over the years, but I sincerely believe that gaming is the best form of media when it comes to price/hours. Would I do it again? probably, if not I'd spend the money on Jordans. The only downfall is the amount of friend requests I get from people begging me for free games. EDIT: Before anyone asks, non of my games are pirated or gotten by any ill means other than the odd one through a grey market key seller (ie g2a) and my bills are paid and wife/son looked after.
  12. Presuming you mean is a HD4000 better than the HD5500 on the 5200U? The HD5500 is the better igpu but you haven't stated which CPU when you're referring to the other option other than that it's 3rd gen.
  13. Didn't see the point in making a separate thread, I have some Wildstar guest passes. NVUKXV67IU9H4O4KUAF2 SGCZD363SWBZMDUWXUSG 16BIQ64RYPNWWVCON3A0 Their are some restrictions on these which can be viewed at the following link: http://www.wildstar-online.com/uk/news/guest-passes/
  14. Where can I preorder 2k16? Spike Lee's a part of this years, should be good.
  15. $11088 ($3232 with sales) 854 games 302 not played (35%) 2135 hours on record Well that's depressing. Glad it doesn't track Uplay and Origin too.
  16. I think it is, providing you enjoy BF4 of course. There's a lot of content $20 is a steal.
  17. Thanks guys/gals I know I'm folding for a team other than LTT, but at the end I'm sure we're all in it for the same goal!
  18. As stated above there's scorpions, don't know if that triggers your phobia or not (both arachnid)
  19. Had a small interview/feature as "folder of the month" in the UK magazine "Custom PC", I'm pretty happy about it. The following image is taken with my phones camera, I will update the image once the digital edition is available on Google Play. EDIT: Obviously the points are off from time to send to print, I've added another 5 million since I spoke to them.
  20. Could have guessed the replies based on the topic title, If you want to spend your money on a knife then spend it. Between the two I'd pick the Karambit, but in honesty I'm not in a position where I'd be spending that much on a knife, but ignore everyone who states it's a waste if you personally find "value" then go ahead, I'd rather drop $250 on some cheap sneakers though.
  21. 3 reasons to buy ARK: Dinosaurs You can punch trees You can poop.
  22. Click "Help" in Steam client, then "Steam support" you'll be given the "What can I help you with.." screen select "A purchase" then you'll be given the list of purchases in last 6 months, select the one you want then either "it's not what I expected" or "purchasedd by accident" then next screen will let you request a refund providing the criteria is met. Not sure how long it takes or anything, I've not actually requested a refund on anything, but that's where the option is.
  23. I use Win 8.1 and can play it perfectly fine, only real issue I've ever had is the game crashes if I Alt+Tab back to the desktop to do something else, providing I just run the game I've had no issues. Potentially this could just be an issue with my dual monitor setup, I'm not sure, never really tested it.
