Having another run through Fall of Cybertron, it's been a while. Might have a run through Deadpool next. Trying to hold off playing Arkham Knight anymore, I've had no issues personally but since they're working on the visuals and an unlocked framerate I think I'd like to play the majority of the game at its's best possible.

My opinion is that it's worth getting, although as you can see I'm part of the minority that are having no performance issues. I wouldn't like to say for you to jump and buy it now incase your performance was affected as it appears common. The options you have are really to grab it on PS4 or to hold off and see how the patches improve, In my opinion it's a game that needs to be played either way, of course you could buy it now (would have to be through a reseller) and fingers crossed you're unaffected by the issues, if you are stop playing and await patches. I can't really answer if it's currently better looking than the PS4 version since I haven't played it and I don't like to rely on compressed Youtube footage.

I just wouldn't want anyone to read your comment and buy the game without researching based on the supposed "fixed framerate issue" which is one of the bigger gripes against the title. Nothing personal.

I think you need to read it again. That's one of the things they're devoting time to fix in the future.

You must have a different patch then everyone else, The last patch I had was released on the 27th and doesn't have any option for framerate changes.

Without Gameworks and the settings on normal not high... lol The game actually does run fine for me (lucky) but omitting those settings doesn't do much to show it running "perfectly".

Intel G3258 is a cheap option, depends on what socket board you have/want to use. To clarify are you building a complete new system or do you need to replace your current CPU (already owning other components)

798mhz DDR is double data rate so 1596 effectively 1600mhz no? My 1600mhz Corsair shows in speccy as 800mhz, it's a common thing. Correct me if I'm wrong of course. EDIT: Would the timings make that much of a difference really?

His rams running at 1600mhz? I wouldn't say that's slow. Remember what DDR stands for? or does that not apply to single channel?

Same for me, Albeit it at 30fps (I haven't attempted to change the .ini) I'm about an hour or so into the story with a longer playtime from just driving about, I'm debating not playing any further though, since apparently along with optimisation their could be graphical improvements (rain affects etc) so I kind of want the best experience from it that I can, if that doesn't happen I can always continue to play as is without an issue. Shame so many people are having problems, its an above average game imo.
