  1. /thread. Has anyone managed or knows of any application that injects an Aero/Glass theme into Windows 10? I have managed to edit my windows with somewhat of a success, but the taskbar and menus still remain original. Any ideas, links, recommendations?
  2. Financial perspective. Steam does not support Polish currency. People located in Poland have to buy games through Euros, which gives it 3.4x the price of the game. I.e. GTA V costs 60 Euros, which is 267 PLN. Cost in normal polish store (Like Polish equivalent of Walmart or Tesco) - 170 PLN. (37 EUR) Because of that, none of my friends have used Steam. The ones that did - Never bought games from there. Would you use Steam, if you can buy a game for 26 Euros instead of 60? Even with 50% Discount, that's still 30 Euros - which is only 7 euros cheaper than a standard game from the store. I think it's hard to prove how can you "not" use something. Steam can prove how many people "use" their format of gaming. I can't really provide a source, as I don't have any statistic of who is or isn't a gamer. I could compare it by the people that own Windows 7 up to Windows 10, but not all of them are Gamers. I think you see my point? It's a general consensus based on experience and financial responsibility.
  3. I think some people forget that also "Majority" of PC players don't use Steam. It's surprising, I know - but there are people that don't use it. I'm on 295x2 and I don't use Steam, so I'm obviously not a part of these statistics. What about most people in Poland, which is majorly a PC Gaming mecca. Not a lot of people game on consoles there. And none of the friends I know use Steam either. Why you might ask? Because a game there costs 40£. When in normal Polish store, you'll pay 20£ for a Game. 14£ on Polish version of E-bay, for a CD-Key. People love to throw statistics around, when it fits their small picture. There are milions of people around the world that just don't use Steam, although it has been widely accepted on Forums like this one that "Steam is THE shit."
  4. You're looking at Ubisoft. What was the last game from Ubisoft that was decent on PC? Name Original release Platforms Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands 2016 Win, XBO, PS4 For Honor 2016 Win, PS4, XBO TrackMania Turbo 2016 Win, PS4, XBO Far Cry Primal 2016 PS4, Xbox One, PC South Park: The Fractured But Whole 2016 PS4, XBO, Win Tom Clancy's The Division 2016 PS4, XBO, Win Toy Soldiers: War Chest 2015 Win, XBO, PS4 Assassin's Creed Chronicles 2015 Win, PS4, XBO Assassin's Creed Syndicate 2015 Win, PS4, XBO Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege 2015 Win, PS4, XBO Grow Home 2015 Win, PS4 Anno 2205 2015 Win Just Dance 2016 2015 PS3, PS4, X360, XBO, Wii, WiiU Driver Speedboat Paradise 2015 iOS, Android Assassin's Creed Identity 2015 iOS Tetris Ultimate 2014 Win, XBO, PS4, 3DS, PSVita The Crew 2014 Win, X360, XBO, PS4 Watch Dogs 2014 Win, X360, XBO, PS3, PS4, WiiU Assassin's Creed Unity 2014 Win, PS4, XBO Far Cry 4 2014 Win, PS3, X360, PS4, XBO Might & Magic X: Legacy 2014 Win Trials Fusion 2014 PS4, X360, XBO, Win Assassin's Creed Rogue 2014 PS3, X360, Win South Park: The Stick of Truth 2014 PS3, X360, Win Valiant Hearts: The Great War 2014 PS3, PS4, X360, XBO, Win Just Dance 2015 2014 PS3, PS4, X360, XBO, Wii, WiiU Child of Light 2014 PS3, PS4, PSVita, WiiU, Win, X360, XBO Assassins' Creeds have disgusting performance issues, obvious that sales will suck. Six Siege wasn't a best game, I had problems with the release - I returned it within two hours: Obvious driver issues. Textures aren't even loading. Anno 2205? Only for PC. So Ubisoft does make games only for PC, what a surprise. The Crew? Decent sales all across the board. Watch Dogs? Shitty optimisation on PC, Graphical Downgrade and performance issues. Far Cry 4? No figures available per platform. Don't give me that "it's not profitable" bullshit, since Star Citizen made from PC Only game over 900 milion bucks. "Oh but it's star citizen" They sold an idea of a game. It's not even a game yet. But they cared about the PC superiority over consoles, and on that sole basis they got showered with cash. The sales on PC for Ubisoft suck, because they have a SHIT track record, and PROVEN downgrades on PC. (Watch Dogs, downgrades of The Division.) And, they make casual only games, which are for general public. And that general public, is mostly playing on Consoles. Which is why you get the results you get. Make good PC games, you'll get good PC scores and sales.
  5. Sure they do > The cost to build an Xbox One is $90 more than the $381 Sony spends on its PlayStation 4, which costs consumers $399. That leaves Sony with an $18 profit on each unit. "If your cost is within $10 to $20 of the retail prices, there's very little chance you're making a profit on the console," IHS analyst Andrew Rassweiler said when the firm released its PS4 teardown.
  6. The only reason is the up front payment from Sony/Microsoft, not the gamers themselves. Some people might actually start questioning, why are we playing this crap when PC's are so much better in every way? Remember, MC/Sony don't make money of physical consoles, they make money of the Games sold on the consoles.
  7. k. - His opinion: (My friend on Xbone) Basically, tl;dr from the whole exchange. - It's not my problem Im enjoying my console games you probably have problems because things are not in 4k 120fps lol He doesn't get it's his fault for supporting that shitty platform. Doesn't want to take the responsibility, because he doesn't care. He just plays a shit game on a shitty console, because he's too lazy to build a decent PC and actually save money on gaming through GOG/Steam. He just puts a stupid CD in and "enjoys" the game regardless of what resolution, quality or FPS it is. It's easier to just burn up money on another console game, than save money. It's mindblowing. OH. And the argument that always pops up: - But I can't play halo on pc and gears of wars. Can't win this mate, they just don't care as much about gaming as we do. I care in general what happens to the industry, but the money is the deciding factor. If people would massively boycott Ubisoft by not buying their games on PC absolutely this quarter, or if we'd get 4Chan to buy like 100.000 pre orders and then get everyone to cancel them last minute giving company some losses, maybe then they'd care. But we, the gamers that actually give a shit and spent serious cash on their PCs to run state of the art level gaming, getting screwed by the Business itself. It's not like I'd buy any Ubisoft game anyway, but hey. Gotta have some respect for the general community.
  8. My go to games? As in All Time Favourites, or if I get really bored of everything? For now whenever I'm bored of any game, then I'm playing other boring games. That'd be GTA Online (reddit.com/r/gtav_cruises) occasionally and BF3/4 with a friend. But I got fairly bored of both at the minute. I'm putting all my hopes of reviving my gaming habits in Mirror's Edge Catalyst. I'm really hyping that game up in my head, and it will become my new GTA Online until I finish everything. That was also Witcher 3, but I have just finished HoS and now I'm too lazy to finish up all the other quests. (I'm on New Game+) ... It's all just meh right now. The Witness is more annoying than interesting, Battlefield is just a rage-making machine recently, also boring. BF2 type tactics won't come back. Played and modded Skyrim, I got out of that loop. Hated FO4 that ending just made me format my whole C:/ drive. Dirt:Rally is actually pretty good, but being forced to finish up the season made me just throw the game into bunk shelf, I'll finish it when I get a stroke of wow this is in my library. Shadow of Mordor, couldn't finish it - too repetitive when I got to the second area Insurgency - if you just randomly want to start playing it again, unless you get a good team you'll just ALT+F4. It's just all MEH. I actually need to get back to Cities Skyline. That was pretty good, until I flooded my town with feces river by accident And maybe Rocket League. Rocket League wouldn't be bad.
  9. Well I can only recommend K70 from my side.
  10. The first!? Heh, that's probably why you're so exicted about it Makes sense, it's a good genre to play. I started from "King Of the Road" which was sort of a "Hard Track 2" in EU version. Loved it to death, I would still play it if my 295x2 wouldn't force it to overdrive mode with 1000+FPS and 950% gamespeed. Still my favourite, I loved the little quirks of that game, and the fact that it didn't try to be a Simulator too hard. The map was interesting, the different locations, the secret spots, trying to get to Greystone was always a pain and almost a huge secret. The young me was so scared of going there, you either got shot by cops on the official road, or if you tried the other way you could fall into water and destroy your truck completely - and had to start a new game or last save. Even then, if you knew where the secret passage to Greystone was, (Sort of a smuggling tunnel) you could get attacked by smugglers themselves, or you could get lost in the tunnels. That game was something awesome. Different weather conditions could cause different effects, like some roads were completely flooded and unpassable, sometimes bridges were closed, sometimes the road was in rebuild. I loved that it was a good mix of Arcade and what "Simulator" could be at that time. Obviously, it was no sim in today's standards god forbid, people would throw stones at me if I'd say so, but that's where the whole genre got off from - at least in my memory. I loved how you could either deliver as much cargo as you could, or race the other drivers and get the 1st delivery prize. Ohhh, it was such an amazing game. So "free" of being bound by the "Genre" it existed in. People made a game other people enjoyed to play. And it was brilliant. Now Truck sims are Truck sims, and that kind of hurts me a bit. They took the really fun aspects out of it. But well, that's the same nostalgia I have for Gran Turismo 2 compared to Gran Turismo 5. More "realistic" driving model, but without all the fun of it. Then the Hard Truck series kind of emerged out, they became more popular. But in fact, it turned to a series of "18 Wheels Of Steel" I still remember that music theme from the beginning. (Pedal To The Metal) Then we had the continuation of the 18 Wheels Of Steel series in form of Convoy, Haulin, which are most notable in my memory, and the others like American Long Haul and so on. I haven't really played those too much, as the series became a copy paste of it's predecessors in yearly instances. Haulin was very good in terms of the amount of modifications it offered. You could get everything, maps, trucks, textures, perhaps that's why it's also in my memory. Convoy was fun to convoy with bots. But that was basically it. And then came the Euro Truck Simulator. I'll skip straight to the second one, as the map mods are also pretty amazing in it. And you know, people finally made multiplayer for it. So yeah, the overhaul of graphics from my perspective is long overdue. Although the Euro Truck has brought an update to both graphics and physics of driving a truck, I still think what is needed is a solid overhaul. But oh well, that's just perspective of someone who can afford playing in 4K 60Fps on GTAV and Witcher 3. I think the majority of people playing those sims won't do that, and hence why they still use those old engine. Too bad for me : ( Still looks nice, but I guess I just got used to the engine quite some time ago
  11. I really don't like the old graphics. Seriously it's time for an update. If a game has below 2Gb, then it's old. They should finally re-do it on CryEngine or UnrealEngine to make the game insanely beautiful, and then - oh hell I would no life the fok out of it with the amazing cockpit lighting and the graphics in 4K. I would probably just buy a 65 inch TV and just sit on a couch to play it. They could make a seriously nice new genre of it, if you could get out of your truck and have a nice walk around it, upgrade your company's HQ and new logistics system... But that never happens. It should happen, but very unfortunately it doesn't. Truck sims are sort of a genre for everyone that likes driving. Some nicer RPG aspects and a huge graphical overhaul would make me 10/10 the shit out of this game.
  12. I'd go for K70. However test if you like Mechanical keyboards, they're not for everyone
  13. wat That's the first time in my entire life i hear this definition for SWAT
  14. Think of it as an AAA action movie. It's not a Metal Gear Solid, and don't expect too much from it. If you get that feel in your head that it's one of those games that try to be a movie, then it gets quite a lot easier to stomach. Also it's DICE. You can't seriously expect a Witcher 3 Storywriting here Remember, no expectations - no letdowns. Though that didn't work for Dewey. I don't mind that. Looks fine to me Similar boat. I like the fact that it's on Frostbite. Considering the Battlefields track record, it will run good on any system, especially AMD. My 295x2 is happy for once
  15. I'm having the Corsair K70, it has a pretty decent lighting
  16. Small update, phone is supposedly out of warranty, they'll contact the CR and get the repair notes. I could call them back today, but I'm way too busy so I'll continue this tomorrow with all the arguments on my side. The support on the phone was quite surprised and asked me more than once whether I have received a letter with the statement. Well yes I did, IT WAS BLANK. And since she couldn't find it in the system in the first place and had to contact repair services for details, this is just getting better every second
