Yes this is possible with storage spaces. It is similar in that it is essentially software raid. You can read more about it here. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/storage/storage-spaces/understand-the-cache

44mm Max Ram clearance for the dark rock pro 3. Buy anything with a lower height than that. Just a side note that the corsair LPX dimms would work with that cooler.

I have used vmware workstation on ryzen but not the vmware standalone operating system. I believe it should work the same as it does on the intel platform but there might be some issues because it is such a new product. Also developers have focused on intel solely when designing software because the last cpu launch in the fx line was 2012.

Gwersebe got a reaction from Natsoup in Why are intel SSDs so expensive?
Intel ssds are mainly in the datacenter which values reliability and performance so a lot of the intel ones are much more reliable than other brands i still have a 240gb intel sata 2 ssd which ive written 20tb to and it still works like new. but to answer your question a lot of the technology in intels ssd's are focused on the enterprise and the consumer stuff has a lot of that in it which costs more money to make even though it might not benefit the consumer market as much. But the new 600p series nvme ssds are a pretty reasonable price for what they are.

I had a Netgear Nighthawk for a while and loved it and i also have heard good things about the asus ones. Although they have more features they can be a little more complicated to set up.

Don't upgrade to a cpu from 2011 wait until you have more money and then buy a new platform like intel or ryzen.

You cant it doesn't have an unlocked multiplier. If it doesn't have a k you cant overclock it.

Since it's a non K processor the multiplier is locked, the base clock is the only thing you can change on it. However doing so effects the PCI-E, RAM, and all the other components tied into it since the base clock is what regulates a large portion of the system. This is why it's usually not recommended to do base overclocking in most situations.
