  1. Thanks dude!! Would it be worth getting a 5600x for an extra 50 euros? I may want to upgrade towards a 1440p monitor and a better GPU a few years down the line.
  2. Budget (including currency): 500 euros Country: The Netherlands Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: League of Legends, Minecraft (modded), latest triple A videogames, new MMORPGS (ashes of creation, new world), streaming in Discord (likely not on Twitch) - all at 1080p 75hz. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I want to replace the CPU (and thus motherboard and RAM too) along with the case and potentially get an NVMe SSD. CPU and case replacements are an absolute must but ssd is optional. Current setup: MBD: ? CPU: AMD FX 8350 GPU: AMD RX 580 Storage: Western Digital 1 TB blue, Western Digital 1 TB green, Samsung 850 EVO 240gb SSD RAM: 12GB of some random RAM sticks PSU: EVGA 500W bronze Monitor:some LG 1080p 75hz monitor I've hardly kept up with the new developments in regards to budget friendly options as of late, so I was wondering what my options are? The Ryzen 5 3600 seems like a very compelling option priced at 200 euros, but I wouldn't know what motherboard or ram to get along with it. Alternatively, I think I saw that Intel had similarly (or cheaper) CPUs (10400F?) that are supposed to provide a similar amount of performance with a similar power draw? I would also like a black, sleek and quiet case. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.
  3. I'm currently using a 960 FTW edition, I would probably give the new Polaris GPU away to my best friend since he's been looking to build his first system.
  4. I personally enjoyed playing Battlefield 4 on PS3 with my friends a whole lot, even though it was 720p and there were numerous bugs and issues that still didn't get fixed after a really long time and probably haven't even been fixed yet. Tbh, I hadn't even thought about the open betas that they have, thanks for mentioning that. Because I wouldn't think that it would go lower than 45 USD near launch, only back up to 60.
  5. Deluxe edition is pretty much the game + season pass if I'm not mistaken, so I'd just be missing some DLCs. Well, thanks for the responses guys, I've made my decision, just wait till release.
  6. My brother pre-ordered DS3 for 35 USD way before launch and I remember reading on these forums that some guy pre-ordered GTA 5 on PC for 20 something dollars way before launch. So yeah, you can understand my skepticism right?
  7. Why do I want to pre-order? Well, I'm not too familiar with how things are priced in the PC world so I'm not sure if it'll go up at launch or down or w/e, I definitely do want to play the game near release since it's not particularly fun starting out at level 1 while everyone is 80+. I also want to figure out which of the pre-orders would be cheaper. And no, I don't play on streaming/making videos so the early access doesn't really matter.
  8. As the title states. Currently I can pre-order BF1 for 45 USD on G2A's website or I can pre-order the deluxe edition for 80 USD on Battlefield's (Origin's) website. I definitely want to have premium/deluxe/season pass but I am unsure what the premium service alone costed on BF3's and BF4's launch. So yeah, that's that, thanks in advance. Edit: Apparently due to my IP-address I'll have to pay 80 Euros for the deluxe edition if I want to get it on Origin, what do? Use a VPN?
  9. The first problem here is that it's on Tigerdirect, I wouldn't buy from them if I were you.
  10. Newegg? That's strange, I always thought that Newegg was supposed to be good.
  11. Hey there guys, I don't know if this is the right section or whatever, but I felt like sharing this. A few days ago I posted a thread in which I asked where to get computer parts in Miami aside from Best Buy, so, I went to TigerDirect after reading about 50 reviews which were pretty much all terrible, but I needed the parts so I went anyway. After I entered I was honestly surprised, the staff didn't seem as terrible as I thought they'd be but they were certainly way worse than Best Buy's staff which is quite excellent in my opinion (shout out to Eddie from a Best Buy in Hialeah). Most of the staff seemed rather unprofessional and un-knowledgeable, however most were friendly, except for 1 person in particular which did tick me off. I bought a processor, a motherboard, and a cooler. Everything seemed fine so I didn't worry, I thought that all the terrible reviews I read online were all only about online orders or just exaggerations. When I came to the hotel room I double-checked everything, I tried to open the cooler's and the motherboard's boxes but it seemed so secure I thought everything was fine. Today I finally came home from my vacation and gave my brother the cooler since he asked for it, an hour or so later I hear "we've been duped". I check what's wrong, turns out they sold us a second hand, possibly refurbished but definitely used H100i liquid cooler and they didn't even advertise it as being refurbished or second hand but sold it as new for 110 USD. The manual was completely crumpled, the thermal paste was scraped off and you could clearly see that it has been used. So, in conclusion, TigerDirect is a terrible computer store that you should definitely never ever go to or order stuff from online, most of the staff is untrained and unprofessional and some of which are also very rude. TLDR: TigerDirect scammed me, they advertised an h100i liquid cooler as new and turns out it has been used, not just lightly either. Don't shop there, unless you're really desperate.
  12. I heard that that TigerDirect location was pretty terrible though.
  13. Hey there guys. I'm staying in Miami for a little bit and I was wondering, would anyone know where I can go that isn't too far out for some computer parts? I'm staying near the airport and so far I've gone to Best Buy and gotten a graphics card and a hard drive but that's all, a really helpful employee told me that they sell some parts in Brandsmart, but I just happened to come across one in a mall and I found nada, they didn't even have any computer parts. Would anyone know any stores that I can go to that sell processors and/or motherboards? Maybe even some other parts? PS: If you guys are wondering why I'm not buying my stuff online it's because where I live you have to pay an exorbitant fee to get any item shipped to you, so it would be cheaper and faster for me to buy things in-store.
  14. Still, a large discount. It's worth getting if you ask me. I honestly have no clue, I didn't really check. Nice name
  15. Just got an e-mail from IGN with all of this weeks deals, this one in particular stood out to me. Just over $500 off of the list price, that's quite allot. Yes, this is the laptop that Linus reviewed and left out in the rain. Laptop here $799.99 is the discount price, an extra $50 off with the coupon code: M6PMKJDTR42QV$ Edit: Not sure till when this lasts or if this is a 1 use coupon code only but if it is you can just get your own coupon on the Dell website itself at the top.
