  1. I agree that the most aggressive LLC should not be used. With switching to the Aorus Pro, I am running 5 GHz at 1.25 V with the LLC on Turbo (level 5). I think this is quite safe and it shouldn't cause any serious degradation.
  2. Thanks for your help, I swapped to the Aorus Pro wifi and it's a lot more stable.
  3. It happens at any voltage setting, even when it's set at 1.31 V and level 5 the voltage in the BIOS reads 1.296 V. The elite is definitely the board everyone suggests and it has very good power phases. I've just had a bad experience with a previous Gigabyte board and I like the Asus BIOS. Isn't LLC only supposed to help with Vdroop when the processor is loaded? Doesn't a high LLC causes large, short, voltage spikes that you can't see with software? When there is no load on the CPU, shouldn't the voltage match what it's set to, independent of the LLC setting?
  4. Hi Everyone, I'm having a weird problem with my Asus Prime Z390-A and my new 9900k. When I try to use manual voltage, I need a load line calibration of level 6 or 7 for the voltage to be correct. For example, if LLC is at level 5 and the voltage is set at 1.28 V in the BIOS, the motherboard will only output 1.27 V in the bios and the system crashes when I try to run a stress test. This problem gets even worse as I lower the LLC setting to a point where it won't even load windows at level 2. I originally had a 9600k a few days ago, which I exchanged for the 9900k, and everything worked perfectly at and LLC setting. I've tried resetting to default and I also cleared CMOS but it is still the same. Does anyone have any ideas what is causing the problem? I know the VRM's are not the best on this board, but I originally purchased it for the 9600k not the 9900k. I'm still within the return period of the MOBO so I can exchange it if for a better board of that's the problem.   5. B150 boards do not overclock. You can probably only go to 39 because that is the max turbo frequency of the 6600k

  7. Get at least a quad core. I built a computer for a friend with a g3258 and it stuttered in fallout 4. Recently it was swapped for a 4690k and all the issues he was having are gone

  10. So I purchased a MG279Q on the weekend and it seems to have some backlight bleed issues. It's not noticeable while in use, but I'm a bit concerned for when I finish school and can get back into photography where there's potential for it to become a issue. My my question is if this this is normal for ips panels or if I should exchange it for another and hope that it's better?
  11. Go for the G710+, The original key caps on the G910 are terrible. Also the G710+ has the cherry mx brown switches (quiet switches) and rubber O-rings on the keys to reduce noise. I have the G710+ and I've got no complaints, they keys feel great and it's not too noisy.
  12. I don't think you will be able to use your ram with skylake, you'll have to get a set of ddr3l if you want to stick with ddr3. The skylake motherboards that have ddr3l support are very basic and do not have many features so I would suggest getting some ddr4 ram.
