  1. When I first got this phone I had the same problem with charging it from 0%. I looked around online and the advice seemed to come down to leaving it plugged in overnight, and so I did, and it charged back up and i vowed never to let the battery run flat again. So yesterday I accidentally let the battery run flat and it wont charge again. Left it plugged in overnight and when i awoke, it still hadn't charged beyond a red flashing LED. A few possibly useful notes: 1. When I left it plugged in overnight it was plugged into the computer's USB socket not the wall as this is what worked last time, I have also tried using the wall socket however only for 3 or 4 hours where i gave up and came here because nothing different seemed to of happened. 2. I have allready tried using two different cables and sockets and plugs and as far as I know this hasn't helped me(I say as far as I know because for the test to be fair I would have to leave each of these appliances plugged in overnight which i haven't yet had time to do) 3. I realise that there is another forum on the internet out there, that's where I looked the first time this happened and it hasn't helped me this time I hope you lads can help me with this because this is really getting on my nerves, cheers.
  2. I'm going to admit here that i truly know nothing about stage lighting. So, firstly, would they have stage lights allready at the theater that would be used? or would i have to buy all the lights myself? I think it's a mix of both, and if so then which ones could i expect to be thier allready?
  3. This one didn't really fit into any of the other categories so I thought I might leave it here. Basically, I recently started writing a theater piece and I was wondering what's actually going to be realistically possible when it comes to lighting? For instance, I have this one bit where a character is in this spotlight and he starts running away from the spotlight. My plan was when he reaches the edge of the spotlight the spotlight suddenly increases in size(sorry for the repitition of thw word spotlight). And i wanted this "reaching the edge of the light and then the light expanding" to continue until the spotlight is covering the whole stage. Is that actually realistically possible, and if not is there any other ways of doing something similar that would work? Other helpful things about stage lighting would be useful to know as well. I don't need to know how to use the lights or anything I just want to know what I can get away with. Thanks
  4. Yes i have allready been considering the two Nikon cameras but I thought there might be something that panders to my needs a little more. I like the idea of being able to use magick lantern so I like the idea of a Canon. I don't really care about weight and a camcorder I'm not interested in. I think Canon sounds like the best bet, I was thinking 700d or 750d.
  5. Yes I agree completely. But I forgot to mention that the Nikon camera isnt actually mine but my friends that I usually film with. Also, I said £500 OR LESS. The remainder of my money was going to go towards equipment such as lighting and a lens. £500 is the maximum, I'm sorry I was very unclear
  6. I'm looking for something mainly for video for £600 or less. I don't need all the bells and whistles like wifi connection and stuff. I've been using the Nikon D3200 but I'm looking for something better
  7. i found this but wasnt sure if the screen was on the fbtft driver supported list. i treid to check but the list is pretty complicated. http://www.circuitbasics.com/setup-lcd-touchscreen-raspberry-pi/
  8. "For driving the 3.5inch RPi LCD ,you need to install the Raspberry OS that we provide, you can find our configured system image at CD:" doesnt that mean you need to use there specific OS
  9. Right so this is the LCD that would be ideal. http://m.banggood.com/3_5-Inch-TFT-LCD-Display-DIY-Acrylic-Case-For-Raspberry-Pi-BB-p-960194.html?currency=GBP&createTmp=1&utm_source=google&utm_medium=shopping&utm_content=saul&utm_campaign=Electronic-xie-uk-mobile&gclid=CjwKEAjwpuSvBRDSkaes4OasuEESJACfwIc_XHFroXSdq3tjeVCP3StbqnCqHv4PSyQvj09_Gquh6RoCzcXw_wcB do you know a way i could install the drivers for linux. i was thinking of using the fbtft drivers but im not sure if its on the supported list or not. there were drivers listed with the lcd if you follow a link but i think they were just for raspbian. i dont have a great knowledge of the raspberry pi and im not completely sure what im doing.
  10. So....... I have a little plan to make my own homebuilt music device using a raspberry pi, laptop hard drive and so on. the idea is for it to be touch screen with a Linux operating system and im going to need a light Linux operating system which is when i came across Crunch bang Linux. the Only problem is i don't think it will have touch screen compatibility. So im going to need either a solution operating system or a way of getting crunch bang Linux to work with a touch screen. I can do a little coding if need be.
  11. CPU - For general purpose use i would go for a roughly 3.2/3.5 GHz processor, for something like this i wouldnt bother with intel. sure they are a bit better but but at low level use and gaming AMD will do you fine. i would suggest the FX 6300 which is 3.5 GHZ with 6 cores which costs about £60-80/€82-110 although you might want to go lower. GPU - i would go GTX 750 TI or GTX 660. 750 TI would let you play most games at reasonable settings at 60 without over-clocking. With the GTX 660 you should be able to do almost any game at 60 max settings except GTA v which you will have to sacrifice some graphics. Motherboard - Now you dont want to spend too much on a motherboard. just get something reasonable that has a AM3+ socket type(AM3+ is the FX6300(CPU(central processor unit(too many brackets)) socket type so make sure if you choose a diffrent CPU it matches your motherboards socket type) Hard drive - For this i would struggle for a TB. It might be hard to sqeeze it into the budget but its well worth it. Case - Whatever you want within a budget and has all right cooling. sorry im not giving links or better pricing info. I live in the UK so its a lot of effort to find all the websites and stuff.
  12. Its a tp-link TL-WN821N and we'er looking at around 500 kb/s occasionally 1 mb/s. All drivers installed and i just dont know what the problem is.Please help,thanks.
  13. OK thanks guys. It basically boils down to hoping it was a fault in the components instead of me so I can ask for a refund.
