  1. cakes This sentence is awful. "Rileyismyname is licking a big purple ice drink and exploded a nearby laundromat downward, then Dennis imploded the Dam of Hoover Jacob saw that big cop arrest minority woman with a rice cake made in 'Murica but it is actually lies and doesn't include rice cakes When can we start over?
  2. Your CPU cooler will fit, the P300 has a 160mm clearance and the EVO 212 is 159mm. It might be very close to the window but it seems like it will fit regardless. Also, those specs are according to the Phanteks and Cooler Master website, someone else said the Phanteks P300 can have up to 179mm of clearance.
  3. As long as there's not a ninja parrot yet, I'll try to learn how to make one.
  4. No, it boots up just fine when the graphics card is unplugged. The graphics card is toast for sure but everything else seems to be in good shape. I’ve got a GTX 970 spare so I’ll use that until I can get something else.
  5. RIP GPU lol. I haven’t smelled a smell this bad since the clutch burned on my mom’s car...visible white smoke came out of my graphics card.
  6. I just tested my power supply and it’s all good. Next test is the graphics card, I’ll have to see how it goes...I’m already preparing the gravestone.
  7. Hi everybody, bad news. We have a mystery on our hands. My computer just killed itself and I’m not sure in what way it did so. I was playing Planet Zoo and all of a sudden my graphics card fans shot to full speed. About half a second later, my computer shut off completely. I figured it was a power outage but it wasn’t, only my computer turned off. And now it won’t turn back on. I press the power switch and absolutely nothing moves. Here’s what I’ve tried already: turning on/off power supply switch, plugging the cable into different wall sockets, checking for burnt/disconnected cables, and waiting some time then retrying to turn on the computer. Nothing has worked. There was temporarily a slight smell that seemed to come from the graphics card, but it wasn’t very strong. I would say it smelled like burning plastic, but again it was quite a faint smell. I don’t smell anything from my PSU but I also don’t have a very good nose. Here are my specs: i5-4690k Corsair Vengeance 16GB MSI Gaming 5 Z97 EVGA GTX 1080 FTW (B-Stock rip) EVGA G2 750 Crucial SSD, Samsung SSD, WD Blue 1TB BIOS Version - unknown and obviously can’t check Windows 10 64bit I’ve had all of the components except the graphics card for about 5 years now. The graphics card will be 2 in July and I bought it B-Stock from EVGA so it’s no longer in warranty AFAIK. If you guys have any idea as to how I can fix this or figure out why my computer is misbehaving, that would be awesome. Thanks. To recap: computer silently dies, I don’t know why, graphics card had a slight smell.
  8. I won't tell you where I'm from, but I will tell you that commuting to Detroit everyday for school sucks. I am too cheap to get a closer place to stay.
  9. I've experienced this before, and so have a number of other people based on a Google search. A few comments in this Reddit thread explain how to try to prevent it from happening any more. I just tried it, so I'll see how it goes. I'm following more than 1000 accounts, and they're almost all car owners and car accounts, so it gets really difficult to keep track of accounts that I haven't followed manually. Fortunately, it's extremely rare that any of the random accounts' posts make it into my feed because of all of the other accounts I'm following lol.
  10. Usually the window is on the left side of the case. Otherwise, you can do whatever you want with it, it's your computer.
  11. I'm pretty sure it's the exact same monitor, but maybe with different cords if Canada uses different power outlets than the US. The -B shows up on the Canadian website, and the non-B on the US. https://www.lg.com/ca_en/desktop-monitors/lg-27GL850-B https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-27GL850-gaming-monitor# I could be wrong, but I can't tell any differences. Someone more knowledgeable might know if there's a difference or not.
  12. It might be different in Canada, but here in the US (at least my part of the US), Christmas dinner is an excuse for another festive get-together. Family dinners are usually relaxed, people might have drinks or play games, and sometimes exchange gifts. Friendly dinners might also have drinks and games, and sometimes gift exchanges or secret Santas, and people might dress up with some Christmas attire. The food and treats will probably be more festive than usual. But it's otherwise pretty much just another party/hang-out with some sweet Christmas decorations and a comfy, cozy, festive mood. Everyone wishes each other a Merry Christmas, happy holidays, happy new year, and then continues with normal conversations. It's perfectly acceptable to let him know that you're not used to the norm, and so you should ask him a few questions. Not everyone does Christmas gatherings the same. You should ask him about what to wear, what you should bring (either food, gifts, games, etc), and generally what's going on; ask about anything you're unsure of. If he says you shouldn't worry about bringing anything, maybe bring a food/treat you really like or a nice bottle of wine. At least in the US, if someone invites you to their house for an event and tells you that you don't need to bring anything, it's just a nice gesture to bring a treat along as a sign of gratitude. And also, he's probably inviting you because he thinks you're cool. And what you see in the movies is spot on...Well except for the crazy squirrels in the Christmas trees, the crazy uncles who spend a month in your driveway, or the crazy neighbors who force you to put Frosty the Snowman on your house.
  13. I don't know anything about security, so in simple terms, could someone (other than OP who clearly just wants to trash Apple) explain what this means to me? I mean, reading through the Twitter post, it looks pretty much like all you can do is jailbreak any iOS version and it's irreversible. Someone stealing my phone in the first place is irreversible. Okay, I looked up some more information. As far as my understanding goes now, you need physical access to the device (Dan mentioned this), but then the device could then supposedly be accessed without the password? I suppose that's a loss of privacy if the police abuse their power or a thief gets his/her hands on your phone, but otherwise, all you have to do is keep your phone within your sight all the time...that's not hard. Most people do that anyway. It's obviously a security flaw, but it doesn't seem as catastrophic as some people are making it out to be. But again, I'm not a security pro.
  14. I took BC, and I had a few friends who used the Ti 83 just fine, but they were quite a bit slower when it came to putting functions into the calculator and reading graphs and tables. I used the Ti 84 Plus CE and it made things a breeze. Entering functions/integrations/derivatives was far easier than it would be on an 83. If you can, get your hands on an 84 Plus CE. You'll be fine without it, but it will make your life so much easier.
  15. Has anyone claimed that this would be an ideal year-rounder for a snowy environment? And that's a genuine question, because I looked through their page and the article and can't find anything about that. Why is that the one point that you're fixated on, what made you take a look at this and say, "winter," anyway? Especially considering the lack of storage space, the two-seat cockpit, and that it looks like a spaceship and not a car. Anyone thinking about purchasing something like this would definitely not, or at least should definitely not have winter in their mindset. I wouldn't purchase a Polaris Slingshot and then expect to drive to work in the winter, or even in the rain for that matter (but that's just because of a lack of roof). The Aptera would make either a fantastic summer car or a year-rounder in a warmer climate, but it should not be anywhere near the snow and I think the engineers and designers understand that. Similar to Tesla's origins, it's mostly just a technology showcase anyway. If it sold well and performed great then maybe they'll add another wheel in the future.
  16. If gas was any cheaper we wouldn't be able to fix our roads! Oh, wait, we're unable to anyway. We need to start smoking more weed to pay for these roads.
  17. I used to use free Spotify and then they started using broken ads that wouldn't load or play. I would have to completely restart Spotify if I wanted to keep listening to my music. So I switched to Apple Music (paid) and it's okay. I only use Spotify for Release Radar and Discover Weekly.
  18. Me. It's really disappointing that there's so much of a cult around Windows that the little kids disliking the video and making stupid comments can't even comprehend that Apple and Mac has benefits. Microsoft good Apple bad.
  19. I would enjoy a Towny server. I've always liked those, and I think it would be relatively easy to control since everyone has to have their own plot of land anyway.
  20. I don't understand how this works, but I don't know anything about biology or identification...especially through the heart...but what if I start working out and my heart starts beating differently? Or if I start eating so much fat and sugar and let myself go and it goes way up? Will that affect identification? I hope this starts a new trend of wearing winter coats absolutely everywhere and in every temperature.
  21. It's okay, lol. At first I wasn't sure if you were joking or not so I wasn't sure if I was making the right decision by replying. I'm glad I could help, though.
