Dr. Strangelove's Achievements

  1. 100 $ for an app? http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store/app/cumulotweetus/72ade68a-f416-4a11-b515-e881255d5261
  2. I use Macrium Reflect to make an image of my bootdrive every 3 years.
  3. I've had boards with NB temperatures of 70°C and above. I changed the thermal paste (lowering temps about 6°C). Yes, it may piss you off to have a nice silent cool running system and NB temps are 86°C. But nowadays I would not mind. Those chips are designed for high temps.
  4. So you switch from onboard graphics to an external graphic card? Maybe you need to throw some switch in the BIOS? something like: graphic device: [ ] onboard [x] ePCI
  5. That mumbo jumbo when Apple opens a new store... The sheeple that line up during the night to be first... That cult about Steve Jobs... It's ridiculous. Their philosophy, I don't want.
  6. Whenever I install Ubuntu, I sooner or later get to the point where I need half an hour to get administrator rights on the console. Then I type: "sudo apt get bla bla bla..." Then something doesn't work, and I just delete the VM. Oh, last time I installed Ubuntu, it didn't even have 1920x1080!!?!?! Of course you can figure out why, or you can do something else... ;o)
  7. Looks like you got a decent chip. Thanks for the info. Don't get a cold. ;o)
  8. That's a nice video. - How many volts does CPU-Z show at 5 GHz? - Does the speed step (=lowering the frequency at idle) still work? (you turned it off, right?) CPU offset voltage, VCCSH voltage, PCH voltage, ARGH voltage, Vdroop, goddamn voltage... it's a bit confusing!
  9. I run the same CPU (2600K) at 4600 MHz at 1,24 volts at 64°C with the old Scythe Mugen 2 on a Asus Maximus IV Gene-Z. ( <-- if I remember correct, can't look it up now) And that's not the end of the line, I just got bored playing BIOS for hours. Those 1155 Asus boards have a lot of settings - good luck!
  10. Maybe it's a good idea to do a fresh install when you get your SSD. Depending on the amount of GB on your HDD and if it's too big to just migrate it on the SSD.
  11. LOL... that's me I still keep the "Complete" mods for the 3 Stalker titles in some folder. But I don't like to be called a gamer.
  12. So you think it's funny? Then sad? Then you are shocked? Maybe it's not hip or cool to care about privacy, but your post doesn't make much sense to me.
  13. Did this annoying Bob and his damn tank succeed? Think I'll have a look in the fridge instead...
