Webman97's Achievements

  1. After extensive troubleshooting I resolved the issue - Q-Fan Control must be disabled in the BIOS in order to use the Low-Noise Adapter NA-RC6.
  2. I purchased 4 Noctua NF-F12 PWM fans for my Raidmax Vortex Case. They appear to be making noise similar to that of coil whine. I confirmed that the fans are making this noise and do not know how to solve it. All fans are plugged into my Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 motherboard as Chassis Fans. I have tried to use the silent adapter that came with the fans but that causes all fans to completely malfunction and not operate whatsoever. The BIOS currently runs the fans in Silent mode, as all other modes cause the noise to amplify tenfold on all 4 fans. Whats my best course of action?
  3. I just went back and read the email - yeah, I read it too fast. It said this. Thanks!
  4. I purchased an LTT Shirt from this link: http://teespring.com/linustechtips and have not received an email indicating that my shirt has shipped. I've heard nothing back since June 12th... Did I throw my $20 away? Did anyone else receive their merch? Or am I missing information?
  5. I was going to buy the iPPC Noctua Fans with my new case but now I have to wait for the LTT Edition D: nice to see you guys at Computex! Thanks MSI!
  6. Originally, Webman stood for Webmaster. However, many began to relate me to Spiderman. Since I have similar humor in combat to that of Spiderman, I came to like that comparison much better. As for the 97... I constantly have to explain that I wasn't born in 97 but in fact 95. 7 looked better on screen at the time and its too late to change it.
  7. Hotlink Here "Goodnight and Good Luck!" Gotta love dat Dying Light pun Linus
  8. At the end of the day, it all depends on what you and your friends play. For example, my friends and I played Rust before it had tools/armor with decay as well as the non-randomly generated map and we enjoyed it. Once Facepunch made updates to the game over the course of a few months, we all agreed to stop playing. We felt that Rust was ruined because we could never get the same experience again. That's a very common issue among Early Access games. My personal opinion - don't ever buy Early Access games to play alone. Unless four or more friends are pressuring you to buy a $10 game - and by that I mean all four begging and pleading - you're inadvertently supporting the concept that a developer can throw a game in alpha on Steam, stop rolling out updates, and make a lot of money at the expense of Steam customers who don't understand what Early Access is or why it's considered so evil to the modern day gamer.
  9. There's always a way to make even some of the worst console ports fun with friends!
  10. Battlefield is my PC favorite, Call of Duty is my "back in the day" favorite (i'm not the traditional "back in the day" pc gamer), and Arma III is one of those games that my friends enjoy but I really don't so I bought it to play with them once in a while.
  11. It all depends on what type of gamer you are. If you like FPS games, I'd recommend Arma III, Battlefield, Half-Life 2, Modded Skyrim, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, and one of my personal favorite underrated games - Insurgency. Many PC games that every PC gamer should play are made exclusively for the PC and the reason is actually valid. Minecraft w/shaders is a given. Guild Wars 2 is similar to World of Warcraft but in my opinion it has a completely different feel. If you like RTS games, i'd recommend the Total War series, Civ 5, or the Company of Heroes 2 series.
  12. Vessel Username - Webman97 Video 1 - https://www.vessel.com/videos/fuPdK5xgs Saitek X55 Rhino H.O.T.A.S. System - Fly Like a Pro Recently one of my friends has shown interest in the game Elite Dangerous. After watching this video review, i've decided that this piece of hardware will provide the best experience for games like Elite Dangerous and No Mans Sky (when that comes out on pc) and will not be purchasing any flight sim until I get this flight controller. Video 2 - https://www.vessel.com/videos/LCoY5zfFf Insane Storage Server - Fully 10 Gigabit Network, $1,500 Switch As a server administrator, i've personally been exposed to and even used enterprise grade hardware. I enjoyed this video simply because of the sheer power behind the hardware.
