  1. Thanks for the information. I'm pretty sure my motherboard and psu are fine. I was able to overclock my ram to 3200mhz at cl16 which helped a little with the stuttering but it hasn't fixed it completely. I'm pretty sure getting some good ram like the one you recommend would help severely with my issue. My CPU tempatures haven't been bad either but with PBO enabled the heat can climb up quickly but I put a cap at 72C in the PBO settings, so the Temps don't go much higher than that. Is there a program where I can see the tempatures of the VRM's? I'm sure my motherboard Temps are fine as I live in Canada and have lots of fans for cooling as well as it being cold in my room where my PC is kept. But it would be nice to know if there is a program that can show me the Temps of the VRM'S so I can know if they're too hot or not.
  2. So I can't find EDOC in the bios anywhere and I can't find any information about it online. Can you tell me where I could find it? I have an asrock b550m pro4 motherboard
  3. PBO might be off I'll need to double check. I'm not sure what EDOC means but when I try to overclock above 3133mhz, my pc restarted 2 or 3 times then resets the overclock to 2666mhz. I'm gonna hold off on the new ram for now. I'm currently not at my pc so when I am and change the bios settings I'll update you on whether it's fixed or not. Also I checked for thermal throttling before and my cooling is normal. For CPU cooling I use a "M22 Kraken NZXT"
  4. I've got the b550m pro4. So yeah I'll get a new set of ram to see if that helps. I know my motherboard is good because I looked up online which one was good for the 5900x. Only thing I can think of is the slower ram speeds.
  5. Thanks for the reply, I got the ram a while back when I had a 7 2700 CPU and when I didn't have a job so I was on a budget lol and I already reset my bios and drivers when I first got the parts. Also I don't have the OS or games on that hard drive. That HDD is only for documents, pictures and videos. I have my OS on the Kingston drive and my games on the m.2. Do you think the hard drive would still cause those issues?
  6. I recently upgraded to a 5900x and a 6700xt. I play at 1080p but for some reason the performance is subpar. When I'm in game it's not terrible but it still stutters here and there. I can get constant frames but when things load in a game it stutters hard. I was wondering if upgrading to faster ram would help this issue or is it something else. I tried overclocking the ram but the max speeds I can get with my current ram is 3133mhz and it doesn't fix the issue although it helps a little. If it helps at all here is my part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XL6npH
  7. @Jimkirk363at this point im pretty sure its just a faulty PSU. Just kinda weird it started happening when I swapped out the CPU
  8. @Jimkirk363well when I enable XMP it does nothing but turn on, fans and lights come on but then it just turns off without showing anything on the screen, if I try to turn it back on it does the same thing. On default, it shows the booting up screen but then once the circle for windows loading shows up it restarts, does the same thing a couple of times then turns off. earlier I had removed one RAM stick for testing and I was able to keep it on long enough to download some stuff, but when I went to play a game it turned off the moment the game opened.
  9. @Jimkirk363 yes, I use the m22 Kraken and I applied a thermal paste I bought. I idle around 40C which was normal for my last CPU as well
  10. so I recently upgraded to the 5900x and the 6700xt but it keeps restarting on me. I was able to get into windows and download some drivers when I put the ram speeds to the lowest but later on it still crashed. I also noticed when I increased the RAM speeds, depending on the speed it'll either, (at 1866mhz) keep resetting only showing the ASRock screen for a couple of seconds allowing me to go into bios and can even get into windows for a little before resetting or (or on XMP) keeps resetting then almost instantly shuts off with only a black screen. I downloaded the newest bios update but that did not help, I didn't change any of the bios settings other than the ram speeds, I did the CMOS battery reset and i reinstalled windows but that didn't help either. This is my setup currently: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ZDHGPX

  12. Currenty I am looking to buy this gpu: Radeon RX 6700 XT Gaming OC 12G Graphics Card, WINDFORCE 3X Cooling System, 12GB 192-bit GDDR6, GV-R67XTGAMING OC-12GD Video Card : Amazon.ca: Electronics But when I built my current PC a couple of years ago I had bought this motherboard: ASRock > B450M-HDV R4.0 which I don't believe has enough space to fit that GPU without pushing the connectors at the bottom of the motherboard. I was hoping if someone could tell me if they know if either this motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-A320M-S2H (AMD Ryzen AM4/MicroATX/2xDDR4/HDMI/Realtek ALC887/3xPCIe/USB3.1 Gen 1/LAN/Motherboard) : Amazon.ca: Electronics or this motherboard: MSI ProSeries AMD Ryzen 2ND and 3rd Gen AM4 M.2 USB 3 DDR4 D-Sub DVI HDMI Micro-ATX Motherboard (B450M PRO-VDH Max) : Amazon.ca: Electronics will fit the GPU without affecting any of the connectors on the motherboard. Or if someone can recommend me a motherboard around the same price, even better. Thank you for your time Current PC: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/QqVqmr Budget (including currency): 100$ Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):
  13. Nothing happens. The message comes up then goes and my monitor goes into sleep Mode. I tried it on an older monitor and nothing comes up
  14. I don't know what kind of monitor. Just a 22" LG monitor
