  1. I do agree about the bottleneck, I have myself a rig using a i7 975 Extreme with 12gb ram and the ASUS GTX 1080 Founders Edition. The gtx 1080 doesn't run at his full performance unless I use my other system which is way more recent.
  2. I really hope it will run better than my HD 8990 (which is great btw) already pre-ordered one but i'll see
  3. Umm... it seems that I am stuck when it asks for a serial cable to initialise the router since I don'T know which kind of DB9 cable I need... It says : The DB-9 connector provides a serial port that is compliant with the EIA 562 standard and is RS-232 signaling-level compatible. My server can use DB9 but which kind of cable must it be or where can it be bough? Edit: Nevermind , I was able to get through the interface with the ethernet cable using 1.1.1.1 and default username/password. Time to find hard drives!
  4. For the SCSI card , I had one somewhere in my stuff which would do the trick and i also have the fibre card which works on my H8DME-2-LS006 without problems. The only problem will be to find the hard drives at the moment but I think i can manage this. Anyway , I'll let you know if I can get this to work ! Thanks for the help
  5. There is mine which is the Ultra Speed at around 50$/month...
  6. Since almost a year passed since I moved that router to my room and I really don't have a clue on how we use it. I have the Fibre cables and the pci-e cards to run it but i'm stuck at the part when it comes to hard drives and using them on windows. It's a HP Network Storage Router m2402 with 2 SCSI bay and 2 Fibre bay , the power supply is running perfectly fine and the ram got tested to be sure it wasn't dead. If anyone could help me out about the hard drives and adapter required to use it , it would be nice
  7. Been using eset smart security with mbam and never had any problems
  8. Well it seems like after changing hard drive and removing some DIMMs , it fixed the lags. The old hard drive was OK in SMART test but it was very slow. Thanks for your help
  9. Yea i have a spare 2tb wd red somewhere but as for a ssd , forget it... it can only run SATA2 Edit : I'll post later the results , changing hard drive and reinstalling a different OS
  10. The servers are hosted via a batch file like the main server is using this : "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_31\jre\bin\java.exe" -server -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+UseParNewGC -XX:+CMSIncrementalPacing -XX:ParallelGCThreads=11 -XX:+AggressiveOpts -Xms2G -Xmx4G -jar cauldron-1.7.10-1.1236.05.212-server.jar nogui So not really , i'm not using programs for hosting
  11. do you mean like java ? yea it's running on the lastest version and as for updates in windows , it's all updated
  12. Well... it always been slow when I upgraded to Server 2012 R2 Standard , running Windows 7 Pro was running perfectly
  13. They were together with the motherboard , so they shouldn't be that much used Edit : I just made a test with HDTune about the HDD and it seems that it has been used for 35534 hours but it's still in normal condition , could it be that?
  14. Umm.... I have this motherboard since around June last year and the ram in pretty much the same time. The hard drive was bought around September at a local store as for the Power supply , it only has been a month
  15. Around 250W as i can see on my battery backup screen
