Lab wise I would argue that just because LTT is using data from the lab doesnt mean the lab is fully up and running. Maybe the reason they havnt started the website and channel is because they already know their data and processes are not where they need to be. Actually, I can nearly guarantee that's the case. I could tell you a D15 isnt enough for a modern top end CPU. There's a reason the D15v2/D16 is going to be a thing. Also LTT themselves has shown dual 360 rads as not being enough to fully cool a 13900K at full tilt. When it comes to conflict of interest LMG will never be away from it unless like GN they try not to take those sponsorship deals. At the size of LMG I dont see that being a possibility. Right now most of what GN has said is conjecture and proving a negative is near impossible. What Labs needs to do is get their data good and start setting a track record of what should be expected from here on out. If they dont have good data dont use it. So many things seem to be getting cut to get the video out. Though its like that on so many big channels. The number of time I wish Donut Media would just finish a build properly. Its always well thats the time we had, onto then next thing to feed the algorithm.

I dont think LMG's aim is to be GN. LMG is a Media companyaka Entertainment. Theyve also had partnerships with both companies in the past. Original LTT Noctua Black fans before Noctua put out the Chromax line. Literally have one of those coolers in my server. ROG Rig Reboot as just one example from ASUS.

Correct they as a company want this to die down and go away and thats how I would do it. I can basically guarantee that in a month the community will be onto something else. This will be mentioned in passing if at all. The number of times people say things like this will kill YouTuber's and other content creators and couple years later almost no one remembers. The internet forgets, far more than it thinks it does. What they needs is a plan to fix it (much of which was probably already in place) and time to act on that plan. Nothing LMG can do right now would fix or solve this. As GN said if there was another statement at this point would anyone think it was sincere?

In my eyes that person was just a bit delusional about how a job works. Dont know them or their history but working with the LMG team at LTX has reinforced that at their size LMG is a regular employer that hires regular people. People want to put them on a pedestal since they're a "YouTuber".

pretty sure its been mentions on WAN Show that they may go away from daily uploads. In that context it was more talked about in the way of running out of content to make people will actually watch rather than slowing it down for quality. That would be a side benefit though.

Correct, and for efficiencies sake its got to be split up that way. I can also guess there's probably more than one person with their hand on at each step. LMG cant just effectively shut down when a new GPU or CPU comes out like many smaller outfits do. Biggest issue is using data before the process is ready to be used. However I know from experience if its the only data you've got, you've gotta use it. The process for labs is still developing (lacking air conditioning means that environmental chamber is running round the clock). I have a feeling less effort has been put into checks and balances on the data since they dont yet have the data they really want. Its a tricky balance and as you get bigger it gets harder. There's no way a since person can know everything about a project anymore.

All i'll say is the number of bottlenecks you just created in the workflow is immense! There's a reason why they acquired a number of 7800X3D's that average within margin of error. Also, humans are prone to error I would rather automate settings, far less likely theyll be incorrect. I'll agree when it comes to the video. Should have the writer watch and verify everything is correct as well as someone knowledgeable enough that wasn't directly involved. That outside party verification ie key! I can guarantee the Editors are just going off the script and other resources and wont necessarily be knowledgeable enough to know themselves. For the type of throughput LMG has priority would be on the editing competence, not their tech knowledge. Im also fairly sure this is already in place to an extent but its probably times to go back around and find out why things are falling through the cracks. If its like any company ive worked at they probably already know. Knowing it and solving it are two different things.

Also was rather surprised GN had no comment from LMG on it at all. Usually they would ask other companies and mention it even if no response based on previous coverage. For me the Billet Labs thing is a complete f-up. I feel like inventory and tracking has not been a strong suit for them since they moved everything. My solution would be get it back if at all possible, compensate both parties for their losses and time, the double the donation as a gesture. Im more irked about when they know there is an error and correct it in video, like reshoot that or dub it. If you know its bad dont put it out. Those just shouldnt be there, lop them out! Its almost as if the video is edited them someone watches it and adds the notes/corrections. As for the issues on the graphs. I dont know if anyone but another tech reviewer would have noticed, especially en-masse. I have definitely run CrystalDisk in the wrong mode and only found out when I'm done editing or even published the video/review. Realistically at that point im not retesting everything. I'll either cut that item/graph/result or mention its borked. Until Labs is up and they have actively updated data replacing/updating it isnt reasonable. Just because they have the ability to replace a video, doesnt mean it's a feature that should be used regularly. Though, for context I generally dont look at LTT/LMG or anyone else for that matter as the end-all for testing. Realistically, how do I make recommendations? Based on hands-on experience! I know not everyone can do that. How do I know how a 3060 Ti preforms? Because, ive played games im familiar with on it. I'd also argue that those of you min-maxing every bit of your build is the wrong way to go about it but thats a different discussion. Now should people who are paid to get it right, get it right,yes. I have made plenty of errors like that. Gone entirely wrong directions at work based on bad data. Timeline gets pushed or im staying late or in on the weekend. However if its a process flaw sometimes you just run with it since its all you have time to do and correct it the next time around. Gotta make sure you do that though. In some cases its take 1yr+ to develop and implement processes that I'm in charge of to a point where I'm happy. That never stops though and there is always something you can improve and do better.

@ColossalCubes if I were you I'd stay within SOP. Corporate doesn't want you doing that stuff because the risk isn't worth the reward to them. I've seen what happens to employees and precincts when they do get bitten. As for support the company offers what the average person needs and what they are willing to pay for when it comes to employees. This is why you don't need a certification anymore or even experience. You forgot to note that starting pay is the same as if you were in sales despite the increased amount and difficulty of work and related stress. Though a bunch of those sales consultant positions recently got cut due to the ever dwindling in store traffic.

I dont know If I would trust the links but do the seller or manufacturer make them available for download? As for windows not having them it really should if its just the default ones for that platform. I often see these getting updated through windows update or even the store now days for newer platforms. Also do you actually have one of these systems? If so can you answer some questions? My biggest one is does it charge via USB-C or just the barrel jack?
