  1. I recently was working part-time at an electronics show, being a sales promoter for seagate. There was a booth right opposite us selling some kind of android TV box thing, and the sales person was pitching to their customers. He demonstrated how the video wasn't buffering because the servers were local (Singapore) as opposed to in China, which I was okay with. But then he went on to say that even on wifi there will be no buffering, showing the audience that the TV box he was showing off was connected via Ethernet. He said that "Even though this device is connected via cable (Ethernet) there is no lag (buffer)" and "Wifi is actually faster than cable, so if you connect wifi it will be even faster", and it was then I got stage 5 cancer. ._.
  2. The 1080Ti is a mighty powerful card. It probably can run 4K reasonably well. However what are you going to be using the monitor(s) for? If you are doing video editing, an ultrawide monitor might serve you well due to the larger screen space. If you are doing gaming though, that 144Hz 1080p monitor should be well more than enough, unless you want to get a second monitor.
  3. I also have my monitor running at 75Hz, on GTX 970. You can change the refresh rate in the Nvidia control Panel (Which is how I do mine.) Right click on the desktop, Select Nvidia control panel. Under Display > Change resolution, Click your native resolution (Mine would be 1920x1080) and click Customize. Click Create Custom resolution, and bump up your Refresh Rate slowly (Maybe +5 each time, to test). 75 would be nice, but some monitors cant support that high and might display a black screen. In that case, just wait a while and it will revert back to its original settings.
  4. Sure Its been a game ive been looking at for a while also, and have only played the cracked version of it about a year ago. Hehe. Pm me for details? Ill PM you #2 then Ill Pm you #3 Unfortunately, they're all gone. I might pick up another humble bundle in the future, who knows so stay tuned
  5. Hello there, I recently purchased the Humble Bundle - Tycoon Simulators Pack. I paid a total of $4.50 for 6 games, and you can find them here: https://www.humblebundle.com (Not affiliated!) I got the 6 games, however 3 of the games do not interest me. Thus, I am giving them back to the community. The 3 games are: 1) Out of the Park Baseball 17 (Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/402430/) 2) Democracy 3: Collectors Edition (Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/245470/) 3) Big Pharma (Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/344850/) Please do comment whether if you want these games or not. The rules are simple. 1) Comment only if you really want the game, and are going to play it / were planning to buy it in the future. Please do not comment because "I want to add this to my collection and will never play it" etc. 2) One per person. I will send the links to redeem the codes via PM. You will have to redeem the codes on the Humble Bundle store by just entering your email in, and they will send the game key to your email. Happy gaming! EDIT: And they're all gone.
  6. Ill probably wait until monday then, or wait until the keyboard is back in stock. Thanks for your help
  7. I apologize for being unclear, ill summarize it for you. Current prices: G430: 48.73 USD / 70 SGD Stinger (local): 55 USD / 79 SGD -Since I dont need a headset urgently, I am willing to wait until the stinger is back on discount again before purchasing. (It is now at base price) -I was also planning to get a Strafe RGB with MX blues, but that is "currently unavailable" on amazon. -I could wait until either one of these products are on discount again before purchasing them both at the same time, as that would possibly save me some shipping costs. I have no "maximum budget" per se, but due to the fact that my parents will most likely be paying for this, I do not want to make them spend too much. Im just considering whether the extra $9 SGD (about 6 USD) for the stinger would help me in the long run, as my parents have implied that they would be willing to pay a bit more for a better quality item.
  8. If I were to get the G430, it would be USD 48.73, or $70 SGD. Im considering whether it is worth it to spend the extra $9 to get a stinger locally? Another option would be to wait for a discount on the stinger. I don't really need it urgently, and something else that I wanted to buy off amazon (Strafe RGB, Mx blues) is "currently unavailable". I could wait until both of these are back in stock and one of them has a discount, then do the 30 day prime trial to possibly get free shipping.
  9. Well, i'm currently bashing myself for not buying it earlier. $15 USD is no small sum to me. With the current pricing as it is (after shipping+conversion, it becomes $62 USD / $89 SGD), I might end up buying it locally / wait again for a discount. Locally the stinger goes for around $79 SGD (I still have no idea why the G430 is at $125 SGD). I'm hoping to find a headset in the $30-50 USD range, but that excludes shipping. If the prices are cheaper locally (eg like the stinger now), I might just get it locally. It doesn't help that the US exchange rate is on the rise now...
  10. I could, but im on a very tight budget as I have other things to buy
  11. Crap. The price went back up for the stinger to 49.99.
  12. Hmm, ill go check some reviews about the stinger. Maybe its due to the face that the Core isnt on any discount?
  13. The Cloud Core is a bit over my budget at $69.99... How does the Stinger perform though, compared to the G430 / by itself?
  14. Hello there, I'm looking for a headset with mic for around $50 (as the title suggests). I will be using this headset for gaming (Mostly csgo) and Skype, thus I will need a headset with a reasonable mic. I'm looking around amazon for the headset, and came across a these two that I think are suitable for me. Logitech G430 ($34.99): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CQ35C1Q/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER HyperX Cloud Stinger ($34.99): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01L2ZRYVE/ref=s9_acsd_hps_bw_c_x_9_w If you guys have any better suggestions at the same price point, do let me know. The headset needs to be able to ship to Singapore (Ive checked, the Cloud and G430 can) as I live there. On a side note, electronics in Singapore are hella expensive. The G430 retails here for SGD $125 (USD $87.55) and even at a recent IT exhibition this weekend it was on offer for SGD $99 (USD 69.30).
  15. Woah. Didnt see that. My mistake. In my defense though, that was the cheapest one that I saw when I searched for G1 Sniper Z170. The Actual Z170 one is here: https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-LGA1151-Z170-Motherboard-GA-G1-SNIPER/dp/B01JD2NX40/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1473685138&sr=8-1&keywords=G1+sniper+z170
