  1. on Nas4free there's VM function, so yes.
  2. I honestly don't know why you need these system to play csgo at 200+fps - but sure, always go with intel for cs go.
  3. No it's only filtering the devices you allow or not allowed to be in your network There's no impact or degradation about the other unfiltered MAC address if that's what you meant to ask.
  4. Because marginally better? that reason isn't enough? I mention GTX 750 for used market, if you can find one under $50 that a solid choice, at least so much better than any GT series you mention.
  5. Where did you look up rx 550 is better than gtx 1050?
  6. Why RX 580? or even amd cards at all. GTX 1050, or even older GTX 750 is not really affected with mining craze, don't bother going lower than gtx 750. Almost every AMD cards are not in your price range due to it's ability to mining.
  7. if you want redundancy prepare to double your budget, you either go raid 1, or get another backup machine. as for plugging another drive thats the point, also pick motherboard that offers lot's of sata port.
  8. You can purchase 10TB drive, and used dell/lenovo i5/i7 pc with 8GB ram in it. $500 is doable, 10TB is $320 at least, $180 left, you can even go with new hardware with that budget. use freenas/nas4free for the os and you good to go.
  9. Safety current is for your max equipment load Rated current is for your equipment to use safely without breaking/overheat. It's ampere & voltage not just voltage, if its require 5v at 0.17a then 0.17a is should be delivered, although it could deliver 0.4a at peak however it should only use 0.17a. Never goes full load on power all the time, it's like golden rule of powering something. While your header maxed at 1A, don't use more than 4 fans (0.4a rated) on to it, although it can since the rated current only 0.17a.
  10. if you don't know which side or what is vrm That mofset can draw too much power and overheat.
  11. I second that, why? FX 8350 is 125w TDP That motherboard VRM is 3+1 which is not even adequate for Phenom II let alone a FX series, even 970 chipset motherboard had troubles running this cpu cause it's power hungry. In the end you end up buying another good motherboard to accommodate " cheap cpu " I mean if you are on budget get old i5 2500k and P67 motherboard, you all set for gaming, even able to overclock with same budget if not less.
  12. Some capacitor might blow up/leaked, does your psu is on TOP of the case?
  13. How is this isn't discouraging discussion ? " GPUs are just starting to reach MSRP and stock is starting to return to normal, the last thing we need now is a new mining craze to end all that.... " How or what meaning is that to your for all the people are going to read it?
  14. Just FYI, 4 GTX 1050 (Either TI or not) consume only 325w including whole system. So yeah, 550w is good.
  15. You said you speak on behalf most pc enthusiast which is bullshit Just say you speak for yourself, it doesn't hard. But then again, it doesn't matter either way. You are moderator, and this is mining section which you should encourage people to have discussion in first place, not the other way around.
  16. GPU encoding is a thing no one encoding with their CPU anymore, it's too slow and use lot's of power.
  17. Replace GT 1030 with at least GTX 750 GT series doesn't support NVENC, and your CPU can't encode and play at the same time.
  18. Since you are booting with MBR try to set your boot to LEGACY only. All I know is older system will hang up upon boot while mix match with GPT and MBR, it works fine within windows. I don't know why, probably bios update can fix that, have you tried it?
  19. This is mining forum, don't like it gtfo You are moderator, you are supposed to be neutral in this matter. --------------- I really don't understand what's the point of this section. Everytime people try to discuss about mining it's always going to be hated anyway. " here we open mining section to discuss it " OP: Open threads about mining Reply: FUCK MINERS. Summary of every mining threads.
  20. You need to put your e5400 first, set timing ram to 800 or 1066, turn off your computer, put the q9400 in, and see if it boots, if it still doesn't boot, I don't know what can make it work The RAM timing is sync with CPU fsb I mean, I also have this problem and I have no idea what or how to solve it, and this problem only occur with mostly G41 and G33 motherboards. it doesn't happen with P35 or P45 since it has overclocking feature with independent bus running on both ram & cpu.
  21. I doubt you have the latest bios also, since it has different timing so mostlikely it also conflicted with RAM timing since it runs with 1333Fsb G41 is really bad with 1333fsb, after you sure you have the latest bios, you need to downclock your ram timing to boot, if it still can boot anyway.
  22. You can't put the cpu in a wrong way and not damaging the socket if it's not put properly the socket won't even close, and if you force it the latch will broke first.
  23. Which topics? Which one? Which is?
  24. Look for HD 3450/4670 saphire It still has S-Video output. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-Optiplex-360-380-580-780-ATI-Radeon-HD3450-256MB-PCIe-Graphic-Card-X398D/152961236192?hash=item239d333ce0:g:LE0AAOSwEK9TsqXy Don't go lower than that since practically it has almost no driver support for windows 7 & above.
  25. This is most problematic issue with GT1030 people pick it up just because it's cheap (although not the cheapest) it doesn't support NVENC, gpu encoding is out of option. So you only limited to CPU encoding which isn't going to do you any better.
