  1. Doesn't matter, the cpu isn't powerful enough to utilize it so, GTX 750/Ti/R7 265/HD 7790 whatever the cheapest you can get.
  2. Meh, it just windows 8 renamed. even the kernel hasn't changed, so more secure? if MS had treat windows 7 the same way they treat windows 10 what's the differences. you can use some windows 10 drivers for windows 7 and vice versa. The most common issue isn't with the CPU/GPU or chipset. but rather with the storage and input devices since most recent hardware only support USB3, and using M.2 or pcie, so the first problem would be installing windows 7 into new machine.
  3. There's nothing wrong with windows 7, even for gaming. it supports up to 128GB RAM and 256 Cores CPU I really don't understand why you think so. The only reason why it's being left out is because Intel & AMD decide no longer supports it for their new lineup. Thus making it redundant to use it with new hardware.
  4. and? how is that going to make gt 1030 useful? https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/no-nvenc-option-with-gt-1030-card.68836/
  5. Yes there is the same option, though not really the same layout menu. I'm guessing this option doesn't even matter with huawei devices since it will kill the apps when in lock mode?
  6. I know what hes responding to My point is what is he trying to prove? This issue only happen with huawei products, so the fix is to get an iPhone?
  7. But your onboard graphics actually capable doing it, and it's not on chipset, it's already build in inside the cpu Intel GPU had quicksync, and it's powerful tool.
  8. But it can't, GT 1030 doesn't have that capability.
  9. What's this had anything to do with the topic? Just because it happen with huawei doesn't mean it happen with other brand, Android is opensource.
  10. How did it go that high? with that resolution... already passing 3GB?
  11. What GTX 970 did you get? Hopefully you didn't get the fake version of gtx 970.
  12. Elgato is still require power from CPU (or GPU) to encode your stream, so I don't see any point why you need one. Also, don't get 1030 it doesn't have nvenc so you can't use it for stream. GT series doesn't support NVENC, and NVENC is essential for streaming.
  13. If you have 2 computers you don't need capture card. You don't even need to spend any extra if the 2nd computer (the streaming machine) is using intel CPU, it can use quicksync to encode. Follow this tutorial, and you good to go, don't waste money for capture card, the point of capture card nowdays is mainly for console, or any device that isn't a computer.
  14. I'm just guessing it's the OS issue here, try to swap your 1050 for 970 since the machine with 1050 running just fine.
  15. Well officially & technically ryzen only supports windows 10 So, if you can find a way to run it with windows 8, try it.
  16. I don't think it will go higher than that with that resolution, the question is does it run better than before?
  17. What you see is the connector So you need to unscrew the caddy from the hdd to see the interface, although I'm sure it just regular sata drive. Any drive will work just fine, the issue here is are you sure you can use that laptop? I mean it just to slow for everyday use by today standards.
  18. Setting up xbox one display is quite frustrating It's probably dongle issues, although I doubt it, the problem here is your xbox doesn't recognize your monitor resolution. I don't think spending money for another dongle worth it. Mine was not even shows up when first installing, it just black screen, I fix it by ticking 50Hz option on display setting.
  19. You need to offset that cpu usage to gpu Since increasing resolution is not an option, try to use higher setting or just set it to high/very high on 970
  20. It's not about the quality, even if you insist x264 will deliver better quality, with 2400 kbps bitrate I don't think your viewer will notice the differences (if there's any to begin with) GPU encoding is far more superior than CPU encoding if it have the option, I don't see any point trying to use CPU for encoding (again, if the option are there) The issue here is not the setting with obs, but rather the game it self, if you are running it without vsync and try to achieve 144fps while delivering 60fps stream, you are expecting too much even with ryzen, also it's PUBG, maybe with fortnite or any game with better optimization might do just fine.
  21. Everytime I see an ad(s) or news for storage devices and use pictures, or songs(MP3) for metric somehow I couldn't take it seriously, and that was an ads But when the actual scientist doing it? Really? why not just say how much it actually store or give the actual datasheet.
  22. Unless intel change the slot for the cooler I don't think it is, if it fits for 1156 it will fit for 1155, 1150, 1151. Also, I was just using it for an example, there are many cheap cooler out there if you need it.
