Qyoon reacted to Princess Luna in I'm tired of Linus giving people horrible building advice.
You mean their 500$ PC to compare against the Xbox One X? I tried finding on the video where they give the PC specs again but I wasn't finding it... I do remember it was an i3 7100 with a 1050 Ti right? like for real, get a g4560 and a h110 so you can put a 1060 on it instead and done the PC for the very same 500$ would destroy the Xbox... but no, LTT always does the shittiest "budget builds"... I don't even want to remember that Be Quiet! promoted one...

LTT is only good to learn how to put the parts together for the newbies, not to get a list of hardware that offers good value.

Qyoon reacted to Lurick in Add SSD boot drive to 2 HDD system (with windows on HDD)
The best way is to unplug the HDDs, install windows on the SSD and get it up and working. Then shutdown the system, plug in the two HDDs and force the system to boot from the SSD. Copy all files that aren't windows files off the one HDD with Windows on it to the other drive or the SSD. Format the HDD that had windows on it and then move things back as needed.

    Caution aubout one thing...
    If i recall , the GTX970 G1 is a triple fan card.
Not sure it's gonna fit in a standard dell case.

About the cpu / mb , it's fully compatible i still have an old pc with a  I7 920 @4Ghz in it, and it's doing pretty good.

Qyoon reacted to mariushm in Motherboard Screw confuse
One of the screws -2nd picture, left, hex shape head - looks like UNC 6-32 (imperial or US standard, 32 threads per inch)
This is usually used on motherboard to screw it to case, mechanical (3.5") drives, to screw graphic cards in the slots.

1st pic looks like M3 screw (metric standard size 3) which has finer thread and is smaller diameter.
Usually used on 2.5" ssd drives, to screw optical drives (dvd writer, bluray)... SOME cases use these also for screwing motherboards to case.
SOME motherboards also use this kind of screw on m.2 SSDs, but more often a smaler M2 sized screw is used.

if the M3 screw slips or doesn't stay on that spacer, then tha spacer is meant to accept the other kind of screw, the 6-32 one.

Sounds to me like some of the posts above were trolls.

    Defect model is a thing.
But a mouse defecting in 3 different way is strange.
First : numerous time after update the mouse stops responding randomly. Having to unplug and replug the mouse.
Second : Quality construction is not great, the mouse feels flexible on the left side. next to the thumb buttons.
Third : Having it since only months the rubber t on it is already aging.

I bought this because i had only heard great things about steelseries too.
It's just my opinion / advice on a product that i bought from a brand.

Qyoon got a reaction from xsimplyjosh in Is 1080ti worth it?
On game like Ghost recon Wildland or Black Desert online i don't think so.
It will just depend of the game, for some a 1080Ti won't do the job.
Simply because they are poorly optimised.

Imo unless you have a very high budget, 1080Ti for 1080p is a bad choice.
A 1080 can handle any well optimised game with ease.
And poorly optimised ones won't run that well even with a Ti.

They are good fans , i really like the A15, the A20 are nice but got a really huge frame.

I would go for Noctua over Bequiet because, yes Bequiet fans are really quiet.
But the airflow isn't on par with Noctua

Qyoon reacted to Ithenius in G710+ really that good?
I have had one for three years now, and I can say that the quality leaves a bit to be desired... two keys have broken their stems already, ESC and CTRL, and the spacebar light no longer lights up. However, I love the feeling of typing on this keyboard, the media keys and volume wheel are quite useful and well placed, and it is not overly "noisy" as MX blues are, so I can type at night without waking up the whole house.
