  1. I have the Noctua Industrial 140mm 2000 RPM PWM version.

Even at full throttle (which moves a TON of air) they're not bad at all. Really.

That being said, I have them controlled off my board, and they never need to move past 80%, and they're silent as long as they're under 1500 rpm.

  2. Hey Linus, any chance we can get a list of all the suppliers? Or any chance of putting these on Amazon? I love me that prime shipping.

I do appreciate that you went with a high quality manufacturer, rather than teaming up with someone like Cougar. (who already make an orange and black fan, lol)

These fans are as much about "LTT Pride" and supporting our efforts as they are about cooling your PC.

I could have easily done a $9.99 fan that would have also cooled your PC just fine.

But my philosophy for co-branding is that we're not going to just slap LTT edition on anything whose performance and (especially) quality isn't top-notch. So Noctua was the only choice for me.. and the price is what it is.. :P

  3. I wish I'd have done more research on my PSU. I haven't had any issues, and it IS dead quiet, (main reason I bought it) but I keep hearing nasty things about Corsair PSUs.

Also, I bought my GTX 970 precisely 18 days before the OMG 3.5GB OF RAM issue came to light, so there's that. I only game at 1080p, so I doubt I'll have to worry about it anytime soon.

  4. What Windows OS? If you're still on 7 or earlier, you can run SYSPREP before you do the CPU/Mobo swap. It's worked great for me in the past.

    I don't know if it's on 8 or 10, so I can't speak for them.

  5. I just got some Noctua Industrials. I HATE the stock Noctua color scheme, so the Industrials are MUCH better. Yeah, pricey. But I picked up the 2000RPM versions so I get a bit of extra speed if I really need it. The mobo controls the speed ramping, so it's never running at 100%. Much happier with these than the old Corsair SP fans I used to have.
