  1. I find it funny for someone who'd rather buy a Titan than a Ti.
  2. I don't feel bad for buying the best 8 core on the market.
  3. Rumors are they're keeping the ring bus design. The Mesh was for Intel's Xeon MCC-HCC Purley processors. We'll know for sure though in a few weeks.
  4. The new i5 and i7 will be the new gaming king. I'd imagine the 8700K will give Ryzen a real run for its money for productivity. So it's looking like i3 = 4c4t, i5 = 6c6t & i7 = 6c12t.
  5. I want one for my desktop. I'll never have to worry about space again.
  6. @done12many2 Found the original link. Same site that's doing the ongoing testing of the 7900X. http://www.pcgamer.com/full-details-for-intels-core-i9-processor-lineup/
  7. Here's another thing for those wondering where i9 came from: This addresses an earlier debate on here: "You can trace Intel's path to its new Core i9 chip back to 2013, when the company decided to refocus its energy on enthusiasts. Up until that point, Srivatsa admits, Intel was paying more attention to new form factors, like ultraportables and convertibles, rather than innovating with desktop chips. The company noticed that enthusiasts were the one key audience that was "absolutely livid" that it decided to skip fifth-generation Core chips on desktops in 2014. Their anger was showed they cared far more about Intel's actual products than most other customers. So, it was probably a good idea to show them some love." https://www.engadget.com/2017/08/07/intel-18-core-x-series/
  8. It was a post but I don't know where he got it from. https://forums.anandtech.com/threads/intel-skylake-kaby-lake-coffee-lake-thread-coffee-lake-s-specs-out-page-554.2428363/page-565#post-39020260
  9. Found this on Anandtech. These are Skylake-X boost tables for those interested.
  10. I wonder if Intel will solder Cascade Lake-X on their next X299 chips. Hopefully they would learn their lesson although I can say they've definitely improved their TIM process this time around.
  11. Does this embarrassment of engineering come bundled with a fire extinguisher? Because you'll need it.
  12. Great! I'm going to send mine in soon to get a delid and have them test it to see what they can get 24/7 stable. Mine's just been quick Cinebench runs. haha I might only see 10c myself since the temps are amazing on this thing at 4.8, 3000 cache/RAM and core temps 73-76, package 80-82. Thanks man!
  13. @TahoeDust Was delidding worth it to you? I'm thinking of sending my 7820X in for delid at SL. I saw it lowered your temps by 10c which doesn't seem like a whole lot. But I guess every degree counts.
  14. That only makes sense if you're also buying a monitor.
