I did do that infact i did install the os using a different PC..but i did not try a live cd..

Q Well! I did try all these and there was no improvement! But if i do run the setup directly on windows it does run and it does install the os.

This problem was there with the old HDD, but recently i upgraded to a 2TB seagate HDD, even then it gives out the same issue.

I recently tried to upgrade my OS on my old desktop, so i created a bootable USB disk and tried to boot from it.As soon as it restarts there is just a blank screen with a blinking cursor.I tried using a optical disk but there was no improvement.I have already tried changing the software used to create the bootable drive.I have tried with different ISO files.I have checked my BIOS and have allowed to boot from USB devices, I also tried setting my boot preference first to usb. Please help me out guys!?

HEY GUYS,,, Planning to build new PC....got around 700 bucks for the th tower alone....any SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE HELPFUL... need this build for video editing.....high performance gaming and also as a silent workstation ps: i play games like cs, GOW , GTA5, NFS ,MINECRAFT, MW....etc

HEY GUYS MY 2 year old seagate barracuda 500gb hdd running @ 7200rpm crashed.....not able boot "A PROBLEM WITH HARD DISK " error. was running windows 8.1.....can anybody pls suggest a way to recover it without loss of any data ...................urgent guys pls help....
