  1. only problem is that you can't really get all of that in a system under $500 unless you go without a GPU. Actually I tried it and you can buuut: PCPartPicker part list
  2. as a tiny APU based alternative: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: AMD A10-7850K 3.7GHz Quad-Core Processor ($119.99 @ SuperBiiz) CPU Cooler: CRYORIG C1 65.0 CFM CPU Cooler ($62.00 @ Newegg) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-F2A88XN-WIFI Mini ITX FM2+ Motherboard ($87.99 @ SuperBiiz) Memory: G.Skill Trident X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2666 Memory ($77.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($44.89 @ OutletPC) Case: EVGA Hadron Mini ITX Tower Case w/500W Power Supply ($129.49 @ Amazon) Total: $522.35 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-11-04 18:22 EST-0500
  3. they're a little impractical (you NEED to give them rubber/foam feet or the acrylic will scratch everything), but beautiful. I'd say the S2.0 the micro ATX case is more well thought out though, while not being much larger.
  4. just use the USB one that comes with it, does the job (really rather well i might add). if it's inconvenient then maybe a USB extension cable may be more worth your cash. Soundcards can't justify their price relative to a motherboard's on-board solution.
  5. Although we actually haven'y heard your budget but i would get this GPU and PSU (650W is strangely cheaper than 550W) instead: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($195.89 @ OutletPC) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($28.99 @ Amazon) Motherboard: Asus Z170M-PLUS Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($118.99 @ SuperBiiz) Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($96.99 @ Newegg) Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 380 4GB Nitro Video Card ($213.98 @ Newegg) Case: Thermaltake Core V21 MicroATX Mini Tower Case ($58.99 @ NCIX US) Power Supply: Cooler Master 650W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($68.99 @ NCIX US) Total: $782.82 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-11-04 17:20 EST-0500 or alternatively, if that's over budget drop the 2x8 kit to a 2x4 kit: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($195.89 @ OutletPC) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($28.99 @ Amazon) Motherboard: Asus Z170M-PLUS Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($118.99 @ SuperBiiz) Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($54.99 @ Newegg) Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 380 4GB Nitro Video Card ($213.98 @ Newegg) Case: Thermaltake Core V21 MicroATX Mini Tower Case ($58.99 @ NCIX US) Power Supply: Cooler Master 650W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($68.99 @ NCIX US) Total: $740.82 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-11-04 17:23 EST-0500
  6. Checks PCCaseGear: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=375_974 apparently they didn't get the memo.

  8. how about the build i posted, i can actually trim it down a bit if needed.
  9. well I came up with this, the 850W PSU is so you can add in another GPU if you want more performance later (it's also a lot smaller): PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($295.00 @ Umart) Motherboard: MSI B150M MORTAR Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($149.00 @ CPL Online) Memory: Crucial Ballistix Elite 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2666 Memory ($95.00 @ CPL Online) Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($139.00 @ Centre Com) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($69.00 @ Centre Com) Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 380 4GB Video Card ($355.00 @ CPL Online) Case: BitFenix Prodigy M Midnight MicroATX Mini Tower Case ($99.00 @ CPL Online) Power Supply: XFX PRO Black Edition 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($179.00 @ CPL Online) Headphones: Kingston HyperX Cloud II 7.1 Channel Headset ($119.00 @ CPL Online) Total: $1499.00 No rebate's included in price either (they're a trap).
  10. iirc the game detects rouge files and doesn't let you enter GTA online with modified files
  11. is your budget flexible enough for this? (if not just drop the SSD) PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($229.99 @ Micro Center) CPU Cooler: CRYORIG H7 49.0 CFM CPU Cooler ($34.50 @ Newegg) Motherboard: Asus Z170-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($151.88 @ OutletPC) Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory ($55.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($87.91 @ Amazon) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($65.88 @ OutletPC) Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 390 8GB Nitro Video Card ($318.98 @ Newegg) Case: NZXT S340 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case ($64.99 @ Micro Center) Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA G2 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($76.50 @ Newegg) Total: $1086.62 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-11-04 04:07 EST-0500
  12. how much money can you spend on an upgrade? (and currency)
  13. something tells me they'll be dragged there kicking and screaming by console exclusive titles. they'll make it, but probably not as easily as previously.
  14. The Nascita appeals to me the most. Probably because it looks like it should feel so much better than my current mouse (Roccat Kova+, a very blocky and unnatural thing to hold). It looks visually appealing, not to over-the-top or gamery. and looks like it would feel great in the hand accommodating a fairly natural grip. minimalist, ergonomic, and feature-full. The name is quite nice as well, classy, but slightly aggressive. Edit(since we can only have 1 comment): holy moley look at all of the 1 post accounts Edit 2: GL @nicklmg going through all of these. (36 pages in only about 4 hours, only 6 days 20 hours to go)
  15. yea, that's uncertain. as I said, best case scenario with no case fans to generate any airflow, but Cryorig's generally pretty good when it comes to pricing, I'll be interested to see it's release and reviews.
  16. Cryorig put up a demonstration (flick forward to about 27 seconds): admittedly this is a bit of a best case scenario. but it shows how the concept works.
  17. no it's a AIO with an extra fan to help move air around the CPU block, a relative dead-zone when using AIOs, which results in warmer ram and VRMs.
  18. there was this one that i've been looking at: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824025122&cm_re=LG_25UM57-P-_-24-025-122-_-Product extremely similar
