  1. Have a R9 270x is really hard to play some AAA games and will and I mean will never be able to in the near future be able to afford a card for myself as most of my bills goto medical problems ranging from meds for seizures, Severe neuropathy to point where wearing clothes hurts so bad it is literally acid burning pain, circulation problems, and have recently lost a doctor due to insurance and have to find a new one who takes my plans. Don't mean to dump these are my problems but also valid reasons as to why i would enter. No i am not cheap I will eventually save for a R9 480x, as I am also hand digging and hand installing a new power line for my house from power pole 36 inches down 350 feet away from house pick and shovel, yes old school conduit pipe and all as I cannot afford the install fee and hire a electrician to do so it is just me and a friend. But if I had my choice the Polaris 11. No I am not looking to win I am sure a more deserving gamer would like to have this. I do not spend that much time gaming now as I have to much to do and not enough time to game, but during winter months it would be nice to take mind off pain my nerves put me through during those cold months. I know others have worse problems, and I should buck up but been in this condition for 20 years, chronic pain is hard. and because I don;t cry and am not a wimp it is harder to see on the outside. But the thing is this is not even an entry for me, I would like this even more for my friend as he has been a great emotional support. I tried suicide 3 years ago and he helped me through it. He has problems of his own, also going through a back injury which has a uncontrolled pain problem. and that is why I am entering. But as I said this card would better serve someone else. I am in no luck in these situations. And my friends card is a R9 270 off brand yeah worse then mine. He deserves it more much more than I. but he is to proud to enter. and not too tech savy and I built his current rig and maintain it. I am not looking for handouts. Neither is he but asked I will be honest. I have to be my soul demands I be. I can be no other way.
  2. My best recommendation is get a DAC. as people have said the Fiio E10k is a good deal for the price. And you are using a headset not supplying audio to a whole room or house. The DAC will clear up any noise for the computer and give crisp clean audio. But and I always stress this before U buy anything read all the reviews for that products from not only amazon but newegg techreview and consumer reports and any other hifi audio website. Let the people who have already bought the item tell you the good and bad news before U buy. On another note. Good audio starts with a good input signal. if you MB or your receiver if using a stereo has poor output your final output will be poor. This could be due to a faulty ground solder joint or a bad cap or a poor silicon in transistors or many other reasons. but in your posts I see that U have good audio already, I would say if U want to know if U are getting good quality audio from your existing setup go to a cartoys and take your headset and try it there. If the quality at home is better then U have a good system.
  3. I am honestly thinking of getting the Marantz NR1403why well because it will fit in my gaming station quite well. I also and getting a 3500 watt preamp which will then go to my 4 1k watt rms speakers. and a 20" sub in the center of the floor. it will be sweet but is a build which will take me 6 months. But also whne using a computer your on board audio is where it all starts and that will in the end determine you quality of output in the end because it all starts with a good initial input.
  4. for those who wonder what A/V receivers I prefer these are some of my pics most expensive first. http://shoplistenup.com/electronics/av-receivers/nad-t-787.html NAD Surround-Sound-Receiver okay so it is extremely expensive but for the best of the best it is. 4k dollars. http://us.marantz.com/us/Products/Pages/ProductDetails.aspx?CatId=AVReceivers&ProductId=SR7005 Marantz Is good and less expensive but still affordable after tax return at $1,697.00 http://wwv.crutchfield.com/p_158STN1050/Sony-STR-DN1050.html Sony you cannot beat a Sony, still a little expensive but a great christmas gift at $700.00 http://usa.yamaha.com/products/audio-visual/aventage/rx-a740_black_u/?mode=model Okay Yamaha is the best rated for 2015 and this is the $700.00 version but I prefer the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA2GA1D72274 this is a sweet Marantz system which fits on my desk does all the other functions of the $1,697.00 one but for only $400.00 So my idea for a review is which and their are many AV receiver is the best for the money. And is a more expensive receiver really better. Audiophiles unite.
  5. Where headphones do good to a point. No one has beaten my friend Bruce Galloway and hit system he has 4 25" in floor and ceiling and walls plus 30 speakers in each wall left and right. powered by 7 3500 watt amps all in 5.1 going from 3 receivers. But man he owns his own chain of grocery stores. The rumble in the room shakes your bones. and yes he does need a hearing aid. But yeah not thinking of this big. Anyway people underestimate A/V receivers.
  6. With everything going the way it is in gaming who would not want a 4K pass through A/V receiver tho make their gaming more in depth and get totally immersed in the quality sound of crisp real time audio. all connected to a bichin 7.1 surround sound system. Yes we all would but who knows if the Manufacturing marketing team is lying to you. Well this is where I come to humbly ask Linus to do a A/V receiver review. maybe this could be an upcoming video. Now before U all yell at me and tell me their is already a spot for this, well today is my first day on here and search as I may could not find the section for suggested reviews. srry in advance.
