  1. Hi Guys, So I've realised that the colour accuracy of my monitors atm are dog sh*t even after calibrating so I've been on the look out for a new one. However, I'm getting myself a bit confused about colour accuracy (pretty important as I'm a professional videographer and photographer). Could you tell me how good this monitor (on paper it seems great) https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/monitors/gaming/49--chg90-qled-gaming-monitor-lc49hg90dmnxza/ Thank you in advance!
  2. Hello everyone, So I've tried cloning my current windows install onto a new NVME SSD with constant problems. Mainly a bluescreen error that says I'm missing a crucial device. I've tried all the fixes I've found online with no luck so. I'm thinking I'll just do a fresh install on the SSD. Is there a good way to move all of my files and programs to a new install of windows? Or will I just need to create a backup of the files and install all the programs from scratch?
  3. So I've just done some upgrade changed my CPU, MOBO and RAM and I'm trying to clone my current boot drive to my new NVME SSD with Macrium. To clone it I've just been clicking the check next to drive and then clicking clone drive and selecting the new SSD. So far this has not worked and I've been left with a blue screen saying "the boot configuration data for your pc is missing or corrupt". Are there steps that I'm missing that's causing this?
  4. Thanks for the reply! I did some research and found out about DKIM and DMARC and hopefully set that all up. Hopefully this will fix this issues!
  5. Hi everyone, We had this problem back in mid December where my boss was getting a lot of undeliverable email messages through. We took extra security steps changing her password, installing anti-spam on the website server, removing the contact us page on the website. After a few days or so they stopped. Since then we have moved to office 365 and an exchange email server and we now have the same issues again. Is it possible that someone is forging her email address, how would I find the original server that emails are being sent from? We could change her emails but it doesn't stop the spam which looks bad on the company and I think it would also be wrong to not try anything to stop it. I've tried having a look through the headers on the emails and haven't found much of what I would think is significant. Anyone have any ideas? Many thanks, Lewis
  6. Ahh thanks everyone for your help, I will remove this thread now and get in touch with you guys if I need more help thanks so much!
  7. Thanks a lot! Just out of interest how did you know the Domain, I removed the domain info from the post
  8. We don't reuse the passwords, we try to create fairly random and hard to guess passwords. Thank you so much for your help!
  9. I was thinking about doing this, all seems to be fine at the moment but I think I will look into making sure the website and server is fully secure and start to frequently change passwords. Been a bit of a wake up call to learn more about cyber security...
  10. We have a guy who setup the website and server but I don't think he regularly checks the server? So do you think this is to do with the email server rather than main server as the emails should be managed by ionos.
  11. Thank you! We have changed the password on the account and we haven't had anymore recently so hopefully that has done the trick. It just seemed odd the way they informed us as they are hosting our emails and it would seem like they should just tell us that it was the email and not point towards our servers? Maybe I just took it wrong. We will work through all the other email accounts and change those passwords too. Do you think this will be enough or do you believe we should take any further action?
  12. Hello everyone, Looking for advice on what to do! I have limited knowledge on servers and such. So recently my mum was getting hundreds of emails from post master and mail delivery services saying that certain emails couldn't be delivered and we assumed this was spam. We increased the spam protection on the ionos email hosting and they seemed to stop coming. The next we got the following message from ionos... I rang them up today and they said they can't offer any help as they just manage the hosting but they could give us more details as to what's going on, this is what they said... Has anyone got any idea what could be happening here? Could someone be hosting an email address from our server? Additional information: Ionos host our email and web server. As far as I'm aware they are separate servers (email goes through imap.ionos.co.uk) The first 6 digits of the IP address match the one of our web server but not the last 4 and I can't seem to find a separate server within windows server manager. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks, Lewis
  13. Fair enough lol, never known whether to trust it or not
  14. The PC isn't for me so I will definitely mention that to him. I'm guessing he's using premiere pro but will double check

Budget (including currency): £1000 Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Video Editing Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hey, so I'm putting together a PC for a friend for video editing. Its a Ryzen based build but I need to decide whether I use a Ryzen 7 3700x w/ GTX 1660 Super or a Ryzen 7 2700x w/ RTX 2060 or even save a bit of money and go for the 2700x and 1660? Here's the Partpicker list, let me know if you think I should change anything else as well? 16. Hi everyone, I'm looking at getting a 2011 Volvo V60 1.6D with around 120,000 miles. At the moment I don't do many long drives but as of now I'm becoming a full-time photographer and filmmaker, so far most of my work has been local but I'm thinking that I may be driving long distances as I get more work. My dad is concerned about diesels because of the DPF clogging up if frequent long drives are not taken. I know some more modern cars are better at managing their DPF's and so some people seem to reckon its not a huge issue and just a case of giving it a good run if it does clog and some people such as my dad would rather avoid them like the plague. I wanted to know what you guys would think and your experiences with these diesels. Many thanks, Lewis
  17. Ahh thank you! I'll give it a try, may end up just using motion detection. Facial detection should just be a bonus. I'm thinking that frame rate should be enough really. If not I could always try use the 4 as the doorbell and stream to my laptop instead. (Just for the purposes of the project)
  18. Hi all! So i'm going to upgrade a laptop from HDD to SSD but I'm a cheap skate and I don't wanna buy one of those SATA to USB cables. I was thinking of just plugging both drives in my desktop PC and transferring the OS that way. However I haven't seen a software that allows you to chose the specific drive you want to migrate FROM rather than just the drive you want to migrate to. Anyone have any ideas how to do it or what software will let me do that? Thanks, Lewis!
  19. Hi guys, So I have a project I must go for my A-Level Computer science course. For my project I'm going to create a video doorbell, with live video streaming, motion detection, face detection, video recording and it'll all be hosted online. My plan in terms of hardware is to use a raspberry pie zero and a ZeroCam as the actual doorbell which will stream a live feed to either a raspberry pi 3 or 4. The 3 or 4 will then handle all the video processing, including the facial detection and motion as well as the web server. Do you think the raspberry pi will be powerful enough for this? I'm going to code in python as that's what I know! Many thanks, Lewis :))))))
  20. Hey guys in the end I just left it out in the sun for the day and then risked it on the plane and they were all good :)
  21. So long story short I'm on holiday in Portugal and left my sennheiser cx400 in my short pockets when I jumped in the pool, I swam for a bit but not too long before getting on an inflatable for most of the time. I realised when I got out and left the headphones out in the sun (25-30°c) for the whole day. Do you think they'll be ok to use now? I have my flight soon but I'm reluctant to plug the headphones in. Thank youuuuuuu!!!
