Also I'm more of a casual gamer now. Just play for fun with friends win or lose but it seems like you're trying for something more legit and competitive so I don't know how well I'll fit in.

We're not competitive at all. It's a community, not a clan.

  2. Dammit you caught on to my scheme Nah but for real I just looking for some people to chill with online
  3. So I used to be a pretty hardcore gamer. Was never really all that great at playing games (just your average player) but I used to play a lot. Well now I'm a little bit older (22) and gaming just doesn't have the same spark it used to have for me and over the past few years I have slowly been losing contact with all of my online friends that I've hung out with. My real life friends don't really play any games and I don't have much time on the weekdays with school and work. Right now I'm just looking for some online friends to chill and converse with on the weekends and maybe play a few multiplayer games here and there. I get pretty depressed and lonely alone in my apartment on the weekends and don't really feel like going out all the time especially when my SO is busy. Right now a lot of my online friends are from the Southeast Asia region so I don't really get to hang out with them during the day. I was wondering if anyone would like to accept me into their group of friends for some casual chat and play on the weekends. Some of the games I play right now include stuff like LoL (like Gold level), Minecraft, GTA 5 but I'm really down for anything as I have steam. Mostly I just want some people to talk to on the weekend so I don't go crazy. I've really wanted to get into Rocket League since that game looks hella fun but I have no friends to play with. I've never really been the type of person to go out every weekend since I've been a gamer throughout my childhood so now I'm stuck in an awkward position where I don't really have any friends to play game with on the weekends and it's not that fun to play games solo so I spend most of my time sleeping and watching Twitch. Some interesting stuff about me: I'm a Male (22) born and raised in Toronto, Canada Currently studying at the UCLA School of Dentistry in the Esthetic Dentistry program (this is my last year) I'm asian > into anime, manga all that sort of stuff but don't worry I'm no weeaboo Huge fan of Touhou (the music, the lore and characters etc.) I'm on the West Coast right now if anyone was wondering for timezone reasons. Hit me up here or search for prawksee on steam if you guys wanna hang out with me

  5. Where is your bases for coming up 0.2 seconds? I still remember exactly how my Sennheiser CX300 v2s sounded from when I broke them over a year ago. I've listened to some of my favourite songs enough to pick it apart like meat from crab legs. My use of a the term "muddier" is just describing what the feeling of the music is producing in my head. The best way I can describe my experience is that they went from sounding very 2 dimensional to having the different frequencies sound like they are layered on top of one another. I have noticed that in a few of my songs, there is a certain bass frequency that didn't resonate with me until very recently and I don't have an explanation as to why so I'm just going to chalk it up to burning in. Anyway I'm not going to sit here and argue about if burning in is a myth or not. Bottom line is the Beyerdynamic COPs sound great out of the box and even greater over time imho. You can choose to agree or disagree with me but take it with a grain of salt. I am simply stating my experience, not trying to convince the world that aliens exist. Sound quality is subjective.
  6. Actually I've read before that burning in is a myth and mostly agreed but this time I decided to test it myself with these pair of cans as a lot of people are claiming this to be the case with these specific pair of headphones. I listened to a few songs with it right out of the box and set it down on the side for a day letting them just play songs and came back to them to listen to the same songs again. I did notice a big difference in not the frequency response but the general "vibe" I get from listening to my music. The sound was noticeably muddier out of the box. I don't use these are my daily drivers but everytime I come back to them I hear certain parts more clearly or a certain frequency "pops out" a little bit better and resonates a little more with my ears. I do not believe I am under the impression of a placebo effect as I used my M50s for comparison also. tl;dr Also believed that burning in is a myth but took testing into my own hands and concluded that it does have some effect with these specific pair of headphones.
  7. I just got a pair of Beyerdynamic COPs and they sound pretty damn good. The adjustable bass ports in the back are really fun to play with. They do require a ton of burn in to really bring out the soundstage though but well worth my money imo. Really good value since you can change the soundstage from anything from flat, to "fun sounding" to bass heavy if you're a bass head using the adjustable bass ports. I also own a pair of ATH M50s and they sound very similar to the Beyerdynamics when the bass ports are at about slightly less than half open. While the M50s do sound good, I think the Beyerdynamics win solely because of the customizability it offers.
  8. The AT2020 as others have stated above is by far the best mic for your money. It sounds sexy as hell and is an absolute steal for that price! Perfect for what you want to use it for.
  9. This would be a perfect little system for my parents to use!
  10. I have a Bitfenix Prodigy build and after living with it for a while now I'll try to help make your setup at least better than mine. I have my components down below. My Prodigy has an H100i intaking air from the top with a 240mm front intake and 140mm rear exhaust. My first recommendation is if you are not going with a blower style cooler make sure you have something else to exhaust heat from your graphics card other than the 140mm in the rear. That is definitely not enough to expel all the heat from the gpu while gaming and depending on your fan curves and temps your gpu can ramp up very loudly. I recommend exhausting out the rear and off the top with a large intake fan in the front with the mesh. If you can, I would get a blower style cooler just so hot air from the gpu won't get recirculated into your computer. Also stay away from 2.5 slot coolers on the gpu as the side panel gets very close and your card ends up suffocating a little bit even with the holes. Hope this helps.
  11. So this morning I started up my computer to a lovely bootup screen error! The bootup splash screen that normally displays my hard drives said that one of my Kingston HyperX 3K 120GB ssd's had an "Error Occurred (0)". After stalling for a few seconds my computer did manage to boot up into windows and functions normally for the most part. Unfortunately it has frozen a few times while doing random things like moving around files or watching Linus on youtube. I immediately started backing up all my important files on my 2TB seagate in case shit really hits the fan and I lose everything. I installed Intel Rapid Storage Technology and it is saying that one of my ssds is "Failing" even though I can boot up into windows. Here are the things I do know that's going on: My computer is freaking out thinking that the raid array is broken but I can boot into windows and function "normally" for the most part. I have noticed while backing up a few files that some of the files could not be read from the hard disk which is leading me to believe that I might have done something yesterday on my computer that may have produced some bad sectors. Yesterday I installed a few programs, uncompressed a ton of files at once and updated AMD catalyst to the latest and updated my graphics drivers too. After doing all of that within a relatively short time span my computer starting acting funny and freezing. Could it also be a loose or faulty SATA cable? I marked the error in Intel Rapid Storage Technology as "normal" and restarted my computer. Everything booted up normally and so far nothing seems wrong as I'm posting this with the very same computer. What should I do next? Should I just ignore it? Or should I break the array and reformat windows using the image backup on my secondary on the good SSD and just use the second SSD for normal storage? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Edit: This computer is relatively new. I built it in January. Specs are down below.
  12. HOLY SHIT LOL It just tore up Cinebench a new asshole...Mother of CPU processing power... My nerd penis is rock solid right now
  13. I have a 4670k overclocked to 4.2Ghz and its absolutely fantastic for gaming. I don't know what people are talking about saying Haswell sucks for gaming... The GPU is still way more important for gaming especially when you're talking about CPUs of this price bracket and performance range.
  14. The large battery life, the IPS display, front facing speakers, dedicated camera buttons, waterproofness... what else is there not to like about this phone? Sounds like a pretty sweet package deal to me!
