Sergeant Acorn's Achievements

  1. Dat sexy red accent with the alumminum looks super nice
  2. I run as5 as well and its forked fine. As far as the cure time, i'm not going to change it consistently so its not really a problem for me.
  3. Hello guys, I guess what im trying to ask is whats better, 2560x1440 or this new ratio (2560x1080) in the context of gaming and multimedia playback( i watch a ton of anime)
  4. Is there any reason for them? I was plannin to but one just because of the cool factor but since they are so closely priced to the 1440p alternative, i dont really know. This one is the one im thinking about getting: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824260115 I like having just one big screen and i'd love to try out that form factor I'm upgrading from a Dell Ultrasharp 2007WFP. I'm going to use this as a auxiliary monitor if i do decide to take the plunge. Gotta have me that IPS Is it worth it?
  5. LOL freakin' Logan made everyone get an 8350 after those videos
  6. I really like that 600 build, and my friend does too. Isn't the 7950 a little too much for the 900 build?
  7. I've tried man, they have given into the intel propaganda (not saying intel is bad, heck, i run a 3570k) and i keep on telling them that an i3 wont perform as well as another setup. that being said, they are just like HUURR DUURRRRR, I WANT INTEL BECAUSE IT JUST WERKS. one is coming from a mac and the other thinks xbox graphics are the greatest thing in the world. HOrrible friends, i know. but thanks, i really appreciate you taking your time to answer my question
  8. I freaking love you guys. Would an APU solution be any good since they arent really going to do much of anything else? they pretty much just want these rigs as a "console killer" and to get cheaper games off steam. Thanks for all of y'alls input
  9. Another thing i forgot, THE GAMES!! they will both probably end up playing old command and conquer games as well as some battlefield4 when that gets released. probably some starcraft 2 and elder scrolls franchise. TF2, Hawken, and blacklight are also part of the games. they will most likely play at medium to high settings with AA.
  10. Since my friends are weary of the problems with privacy with the upcomingn xbox one console, they asked me to build them a budget pc. One has a budget of $600 -he is going to use his tv as a monitor @1080p with hdmi (i told him not to but i cant do anything about it) -he would like that to include the peripherals like keyboard, mouse, game pad/controller The other has a ranging budget $700-900 -he wants a monitor as well -peripherals also included -might be willing to get an i5 -willing to add another $200 if its essential They will both be using these as purely gaming pcs and facebook machines. Since they also want games, i was thinking of a 7770 and 7850, respectively, to use in their builds. I tried to convice them to move over to an AMD alternative like FX4300 or even a 965 black but they insisnt on intel because its "more reliable." neither realy care about case looks just as long as it gets adequate airflow but would really like cable management to be a priority. neither are interested in overclocking or video editing, so the stock headsink is probably ok. i plan to get the motherboards and processors at Microcenter since they have a $40 off bundle sale and the rest online since everything else there is overpriced.
  11. Droid X, Samsung Galaxy Nexus(CDMA version), Galaxy nexus( gsm version) I really loved the nexus so i got the same phone when i switched from verizon to tmobile. I just wish the battery life didnt suck so bad.
  12. I have a twin frozr iii 7950 and it runs pretty quiet
  13. I've used kingston since 2006. . . 2 kits of ddr2 and in my new rig im running 2400mhz Kingtston BEAST!!!
