yep what he said i do always update the bios but if its fine u prob dont need to at all congrats on your first build @logicalcaldrm ive some probs with my z170 board would you take a look at my posts if you have the time please

ye update the motherboard go to the manufacturers website and download the latest drivers and bios there be careful it can be kinda tricky put the bios on a usb drive and make sure its fat32

no i can get into windows fine its the bios thats the prob it only covers half of the screen and i cant make my way around as i cant read it and youre fine boy i didnt think u were rude i wouldnt have a prob with it anyway also when i go to restart it tries to but never does screen goes blank and i have to power it of and on myself

hey guys ive put together my z170 build yesterday and when i turned it on the display was only covering the top half of the screen and was the same for win 7 when i managed to get around that prob of getting it running im on windows 10 now and i didnt have that prob when i booted into windows but its still there in the bios ive installed all the drivers and am on 1202 the latest bios version that i know of its pretty annoying trying to trying to make my way around really i cant to be honest any help would be great thank you in advance

ive tried end and f6

ive tried f6 and end took out the hard drive incase it wasnt working cause my hdd is boot device the screen come up goes black with just the mouse cursor

it just goes blank when i try it
