Yes you can just zip tie them on, I zip tied a stock amd cooler on as shown in the pic below. Much cheaper than buying LGA771 coolers as they are kinda expensive

if miners take a majority of it then yes it will ruin the industry. when I am done with my rx 470 I will destroy it as to have it not ever be used for mining.

This makes it sound like all the work is done via the cloud no? I really hope not cause that would be dumb af considering peoples upload speed.

On my absolutely shitty laptop with a A6-4400 APU, it did noticeably make a RPGMaker game run better. The game was hitching every few seconds, but after I turned game mode on the hitching disappeared.

My hypothesis is that this shit is made for APUs in laptops, possibly helps keep the temps down on both the GPU cores and the CPU cores.

Chasem121 reacted to Notional in AMD claims LG and Vizio are violating its graphics patents
Yet again, people show how little they know about this stuff.

Equalling patent rights to open source is nonsensical in this regard. If a company doesn't actively defend their patents, they will lose the rights to them. Such a fundamental patent defining graphics cards are necessary for AMD to even make GPU's. AMD has (apparently) just licensed out these patents to Intel for about a billion dollars. As such, AMD really doesn't have a choice but to sue. Going after the vendors serves 2 purposes. Getting a sales ban on those products, to stop the infringement in practice. By proxy, put pressure on ARM to sign a licensing deal. Losing such a patent, opens AMD up to get sued by NVidia and their BS licensing plan.

It has vastly changed since I used to be active in it (~3 years ago), you have shields and can duel wield items. And you can no longer just spam clicks on some body, you have to time your strikes to a tempo or something similar. It's very strange to me, but it is vastly different now.
